I get to brag a little here, because DH cooks 100% of the time.
I can't make anything, and he doesn't even want me to attempt it. He makes me breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and usually, he does the dishes, too (although he lets them stack up for 1/2 week).
I'm very lucky about this. He's a terrific cook and loves to make new dishes all of the time.

Actually, for my shower, he's the one who registered, because he knew what kitchen utensils he'd need.

Brag on girl!!!!

DH actually does most of the cooking; he's much better at it than I am. We try to take turns but there's only so much pasta I can make the man eat.

Never! He's not allowed in my kitchen! But I love to cook. If I ask him to do the dishes, he will, but I usually have to then rewash them, so I tend to do all of the clean up too.

Re: How often does your DH make dinner??

He doesn't cook very often, though I think that may be more a function of the fact that I love to cook! He doesn't do a very good job of cleaning up though, which drives me nuts.

Like last night, I made dinner, he was catching up on Lost (I don't watch), so I ate in the bedroom with my tv shows. He came in and got my plate when he was checking on me, and I ended up falling asleep. Next thing I know, it's 1230am, he comes in to go to bed, so I go out to the kitchen to get water. What do I find but ALL of the dishes and pans are left over from dinner. He didn't do a thing! So I start to clean up b/c I know very well he won't do it and that I wouldn't have time to do it in the morning. He comes out and sees me doing them, and said 'leave them' and I said no, b/c they wouldn't do themselves. Took me close to 40 min to clean everything up, and when I got to the bedroom, he was fast asleep. UGH.

Sorry for the mini-rant. Had to get that out!

DH doesn't know how to cook but he has made a few delish steak dinners for me in the past.

His not knowing how to cook is actually great b/c I LOVE IT and do it every day and would hate to have it be taken away from me

Once in a blue moon. He claims not to know how, but the few times he did, he was pretty good. But I can't complain. He cleans, a lot. I almost never vacuum b/c he always does it first.

i think he put stuff together ONCE....and it was leftovers lol. the effort was cute though lol. I do have to give him credit because he does help out a LOT around the house...and he'll cook up breakfast too. he's just not a 'cook' lol. If there was no such thing as a microwave & i wasn't around he'd definetly either a)live off cereal, b) starve.

I am a terrible cook!!!!!!!!!! Sometimes DH will cook- and he is a GREAT cook- but when he comes home tired from work we usually just order in- I know..lazy...

Re: How often does your DH make dinner??

NEVER!!!!! Except for grilling something on the BBQ a couple times during the summer. But otherwise, he doesn't cook at all, AND he rarely helps me clean up! I was ok with that while I wasn't working, but now that I just starting working too, that's gotta change!

well, he's my souschef so we're cooking together.

He can't make too many things on his own, mainly becuase he forgets the recipes... but he can do something basic like chicken cordon bleu.....

lately, though, I've been pulling double time in the kitchen, becuase he's been doing some experiments for me Definitely a good trade-off, IMO
