You first visited the OBGYN? and now how often do u go.. do u keep up with ur appts??

i know its a weird question but it was a conversation that I was having today with some other girls and its seems like girls dont pay enough attention to their health. You would think with all the cr@p going around nowadways girls would be more cauious but... form what i gathered today they aren't

I was 18 when i 1st went and I wanted to go sooner but i lived in Greece and everything was a bit of a hassle there.
Now I go every 6mths.

I didn't start going until I was 23, bad I know. But I've been going at least every 6 months to a year ever since.

i was like 19-20. now i go annually. i gotta actually call today to make an appt.

I started at 15 & went once a year until I got pregnant. Then, I obviously went more often. Now I'm back to going once a year again. I've always been good about going regularly.

Started going when I was 16 and go every year. My sister is 21 and has never gone. She is so uncomfortable talking about it and it annoys the heck out of me bc she lives with her boyfriend. I wish she'd get over it and go. If you can have sex, you should be responsible enough to go to the doc.

U shoud really try to convince her to go!!! I know she is stubborn but try to explain to her that its important for her health

14. I had really weird periods-was having them for two weeks at a time witha flow heavy enough to go through 2 -3 packages easily in that time, every 2 weeks. I was also really erratic with the mood swings so they put me on birth control at age 15. I have been going yearly since then. I am REALLY anal when it comes to my health so Im not against going anytime anything doesnt look right.

This probably TMI but for example, my hymen never broke properly when i had sex-it was still there but I didnt know about it till my second b.f. got his pecker stuck in it-kid ya not. It basically looked like a rubberband as gross as that analogy is. I could pull it halfway out but it was attache don the other end so the GYN had to snip it.

I knwo TMI lol but my point is if I wasn't taught by my mom at a yougn age to grab the mirror and look down there at a young age, I wouldnt have known anything was wrong.

Its ours. No reason to eb squeamish.

GIIIRl my mommy taught me the samet thing! alwayms check urself and make sure that everything is how it should be.

i have a lot of health issues in that area---i have to go every 3 months---yeah thats right you read it correctly....my OB sees my va-jayjay a LOT!

I've been going regularly (at least once a year) since I was 20.
I went for the first time when I was 15, because I had an infection and needed a prescription.

If I'm assuming correctly, you went later than most posters. That's okay- me too!! And I blame it on my mom! My sister was APALLED when she found out I hadn't gone yet - I called her freaking realizing I left a tampon in for a verrrrry long time. She was like OMG you should have gone a LONG time ago! She gave my mom a good talking to! Poor Mom's a little naive, what can I say?

12 i know really young! i had tons of cyst when i 1st started my period and i got my period for months on end and was VERY heavy! i would go through backs of pads in a day (sorry TMI) so my mom made me go and they found a tons of cyst. and ive been going ever since. I go once a year

I was probably around 15 or 16... I had very heavy periods and had to go on the pill..

I go back every 6 months ever since I had pre cancerous celss removed from my cervix.. I have been ok (knock on wood) ever since
