How old were u when...??

You first visited the OBGYN? and now how often do u go.. do u keep up with ur appts??

i know its a weird question but it was a conversation that I was having today with some other girls and its seems like girls dont pay enough attention to their health. You would think with all the cr@p going around nowadways girls would be more cauious but... form what i gathered today they aren't

I was 18 when i 1st went and I wanted to go sooner but i lived in Greece and everything was a bit of a hassle there.
Now I go every 6mths.

i first went sometime when i was 19/20 maybe ? only b/c my period decided to stop for like 2 months.

after that i went when i was 24, went on bcp and now i go every 6 months.
i recently stopped taking bcp so i'll prob. go once a year.

I'm embarrassed by this but now that I'm married I'm going to be better...

I first went when I was about 16 for a UTI (sorry for the TMI). I get a check up every year from my internist (pap, etc) but I haven't been to an actual OB/GYN since that first time. I have been searching for one for the past couple of months though. I want to find a practice that I would feel ok with and that have rights at the good hospitals down here should I get pregnant.

I went at 18 for the first time and go once a year -- and am sothankful that I do go regularly

I always had normal paps and then I had an abnormal pap about 3 years ago and had I not gone to the GYN regulary something that turned out to be nothing once treated could have been much more serious had it not been treated.

I get so nervous cause one of my friends that is about to be 30 has never been to the GYN and I always try to get her to go and she is too nervous too

I was 17 and I used to go every three months when I was on Depo Provera, now that I use Nuvaring I go every year.

Started going when I was 16 and go every year. My sister is 21 and has never gone. She is so uncomfortable talking about it and it annoys the heck out of me bc she lives with her boyfriend. I wish she'd get over it and go. If you can have sex, you should be responsible enough to go to the doc.

I think about 24 the first time I went.
I go every 6 months, partly because of BC and partly because my mom died of endometrial cancer. She waited too long after her symptoms appeared to get checked.

Don't remember how old I was actually because I'm burnt, but I go every year.

14. I had really weird periods-was having them for two weeks at a time witha flow heavy enough to go through 2 -3 packages easily in that time, every 2 weeks. I was also really erratic with the mood swings so they put me on birth control at age 15. I have been going yearly since then. I am REALLY anal when it comes to my health so Im not against going anytime anything doesnt look right.

This probably TMI but for example, my hymen never broke properly when i had sex-it was still there but I didnt know about it till my second b.f. got his pecker stuck in it-kid ya not. It basically looked like a rubberband as gross as that analogy is. I could pull it halfway out but it was attache don the other end so the GYN had to snip it.

I knwo TMI lol but my point is if I wasn't taught by my mom at a yougn age to grab the mirror and look down there at a young age, I wouldnt have known anything was wrong.

Its ours. No reason to eb squeamish.

The first time I went, I was 14. I had a cyst and needed to see if it had to be taken out. Thank goodness, it went away on it's own. But I started going regularly at 19 and I go every 6 months.

I went at 18 (because of pain during the menstrual cycle) and now go once per year
