How rude!

A friend of mine is in a wedding in a few weeks, and the bride decided not to send any of the ushers (just the ushers, not the bridesmaids) invitations because she ran out and didn't want to spend the money on them!

So, since they didn't get invitations, no way for them to think they weren't invited with a guest...the bride tells her FH 'no, they can't bring anyone'...even the MARRIED ONES.

So now all of the ushers are threatening to back out of the wedding!

I know I would!

Unheard of! The ushers can't bring their wives??? Why do I think there is a cash bar lurking in this story somewhere as well.

That is without a doubt plain rude.

Dh's friend was in a wedding where they were told they could not bring fiance's , girlfriend's or even wives- the nerve!!!

It's not rude, it simply lack of class. It's her FH who should open his mouth. I wouldn't blame his ushers for bailing out on them.

so if the ushers didn't get invites and are told they can't bring guests, does that mean even the ushers that are his brothers can't bring their wives, her FSILs???!!?!?!

i think that is ludicrous. i would not want any part of that wedding.

Arggg! Sometimes people can be so **** stupid! How do you tell the ushers that they can't bring anyone? not even their wives, and how can you say such a thing when some of the ushers are your BIL's. That is just plain sick! I had my husband's brothers as ushers but their wives were not bridesmaids, they did however do the readings instead so at least we made them a special part of our wedding somehow but what this chick is doing is just plain crazy! can anyone talk some sense into her at least???
