How the ef?

Original post by carolinebr

So as if I were not cranky enough, I wind up with a severe sinus infection. The ENT Dr said my sinuses are 'full of pus' . Great.

So he s ucks some out (verrrrrrrry nice) , gave me a strong antibiotic (now I'm dizzy, thanks) & sent me on my way but not before telling me 'be sure NOT to blow your nose anymore. You can cause a secondary infection & it'll be even worse.'

Um, WHAT? Don't blow my nose????

How do you expect me to breathe? I am panting out my mouth like a f*cking Bull Mastiff. So annoyed.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

UPDATE - its been about an hour since I took the antibiotic (Levaquin). Holy cr@p. This stuff must be string becuase I haven't been this dizzy since playing the Pass Out Game in 8th grade.

Hope you feel better Caroline!

Yea, levaquin is pretty strong. What dosage is it? That can make a HUGE diff. It's also usually used for UTIs, lol. But ya know what? I read ppl can have very dangerous reactions from it, I know someone it happened too. Theres tons of stuff online about it. I won't take it any more. It always used to upset my stomach real bad but I never had a horrible reaction. I'm sure you'll be fine, but just make sure if you start really feeling bad, you let the doc know.

O man, can you go home for the afternoon???? Just rest and watch soap operas or the judge shows???? I've never taken that antibiotic, but I've also known people to have bad reactions to it, so take it EASY!!!!!

Feel better BTW -I use aquaphor on the insides of my nose when I have a sinus infection - it gets very dry and it helps heal and sooth.
