How to word a thank you to a BM and GM

who didnt give a gift at all. I was really surprised because this is one of my very best friends and her husband. I laid out the $100 deposit for her dress (have yet to see that $$), laid out the $40 deposit for her hair/makeup (again have yet to see that) and paid for their daughters fg dress. I dont want to ask her straight out or hint around to it. What would you do?

Actually, I credit my MIL with that one. She suggested it for a TY to the people that stiffed us two weeks after we gave them a big wedding gift.

Send the general ty, but then ask her in person or over the phone for your refund. I know it would be nice to say the above things but it would spoil your beautiful ty.

I am having a huge block party/house unveiling party on Saturday, your more than welcome to join us, as are any other ladies if they like....
