Does it make it worse that the groom-to-be says he wants you there, but the GF is adamant that you are not welcome? You've personally known the groom for 8 years... and he was the best man at your own wedding. You met the girl once in a party setting and she went off to an empty table and painted her acrylic tips instead of conversing.
For the record, they were both invited to your wedding, although the GF chose not to come.
...they just set the date - the wedding is 6 months away.
I don't know why this minutia is even bothering me.... thankfully my DH has decided to do the right thing (in my opinion) and stand up for me by NOT GOING unless I'm welcome. Love him!
People actually DO this?!?!?
I've already gotten a few opinions and most seem to think this chick has maturity issues.

Re: How would you feel about NOT being invited
wow, I definitely think that not being invited is not right-I think if she CHOSE not to come to my wedding the least she could do is give you the benefit of the doubt and let me CHOOSE not to come.
not right, good for Dh sticking up

Re: How would you feel about NOT being invited
Ran this one past my DH, he's my voice of reason when it comes to things like this ...
And he says the GF is the worst kind of person!
And if your DH is worth anything, he wouldn't have any part of this wedding.
(I didn't tell him what your DH said until after asking him the question)

Re: How would you feel about NOT being invited
It sounds like she is doing you a favor by not inviting you. Who would want to celebrate anything with that sour puss?
Did the invites come yet? How can you know your not invited yet?

groom called and 'warned' DH.
Yeah, you're right - she probably is doing me a favor....but that's not going to stop me from getting upset over it!

The groom needs to stop being such a vagina. Does he know what he is getting into if his best friend's wife can't come to the wedding? I would have a hard time being friends with someone who told me my DH was not welcome. We come as a set, not sold separately.

Re: How would you feel about NOT being invited
i think it's ridiculous to not be invited to a wedding regardless of your husband being the best man. whatever the next degree is after ridiculous ( maybe insane?) is how i feel about u not being invited.

Re: How would you feel about NOT being invited
Wow I cant believe the balls of some people ! I couldnt imagine Dh being part of a bridal party and me not even being invited...that to me is just insane...I know for any wedding either of us have been in the other one was always there ...for our wedding we did pics before hand and had food/drinks in the bridal suite because we had the significant other of our bridal parts members there early so we could get a prof pic of each couple....as past of their gifts......wow I am still floored by this

Re: How would you feel about NOT being invited
Wow, this chick sounds very insecure. How can you not invite a married couple as a couple. to your DH for sticking up for you.
Mine would do the same thing. As he says, we are a package deal now.
IMO, at this point even if I did receive an invite, I'd decline just because I knew I wasn't welcome at one point.
