I am officially an old lady!

Original post by Sonicstef

Ive always been 'mature' for my age but I am officially middleaged now (at the chronilogical age of 25). Evidence as such was all present this week, including:

- I was walking in the rain yesterday and though 'oh great, its raining, my plants will get watered. I wonder if my petunias will be blooming afterward?'

- Someone asked me 'what are you doing this weekend?' and I a) had no clue it was Memorial Day b)have absolutely no holiday plans c)am going to Home Depot to buy a rug and am very excited about it!

- Bought my very purchase from QVC this week

- Am complaining about all the new 'impractical' styles out in the stores

Am old lady!!!

I was watching it this morning and they have a interesting application of eyeliner. I dont usually wear makeup but I love how eyeliner looks when im getting dressed up, going out, et.. And since Im a dork, eyeliner is always an issue for me to put on and this looked like it might be a good solution.

Oh you are not old Stef! I have been buying from QVC and HSN for years now, age doesn't define a good deal!!! And hey, I will be 30 in a week from now, and yes age is only a number but that number FEELS awfully OLD! Haaaaa!

At 25 you can't possibly be old

I hear you though - James and I went out last weekend and were exhausted by 10:30 PM It's the drinking that kills us! Can't drink like we used to

I feel old when all I want to shop for is things for my house - kitchen gadgets, furniture, etc. no more clothes and accessories - they're not as important anymore!

any does anyone know why the Smashbox stuff is so easy to apply? PS, I'm horrible with eyeliner!

You know you are old when you go to bed at 11pm on a SATURDAY Night. My DH & I also went out for dinner and I had 2 margaritas at dinner. Can't drink anymore. I was exhausted by 10:30pm, got home and we both went to sleep. PATHETIC.

This is coming from a couple that used to rent summer houses and party till the wee hours just a few yrs ago!

I don't know if its easy to put on. My husband's cousin said it is but she's great with makeup.

Teri: The reason why i want to try it is b/c the eyeliner is this liquid power stuff that comes with a stiff flat brush. Instead of having to draw a line, you just dab the stiff edge of the brush on the edge of your eye. I figure it cant be easier than that right?

The thing i got was a 'try me' set...so its small sizes of their popular stuff. The eyeliner, mascara, a color stick for eyes/cheeks/lips and a gloss.

You are in great company so fret not. The best time of your life is ahead of you. I have no plans for Memorial Day. Hope your b-day is wonderful. Take care and enjoy to the fullest

I find that harder to apply than the regular pencil. Mac has that and I made a mess of my eyes. Runny watery eyes all over the place.

I actually find that harder than regular pencil too...but I think that it looks better than pencil, once you get the hang of it.

I completely forgot it was a holiday weekend too.

Shamma: its not a liquid ... its a cream powder i think.

Im a total spazz with the pencil b/c even though I have 20/20 vision with both eyes open, one of my eyes is really bad. So when I close my good eye, my eyesight gets whacked out and I can barely see my eye no less draw a perfectly straight line. With this, I could almost line up the brush with my eye open and then dab. At least, that is what Im hoping.

Welcome to the 'old, housewive's club' Stef.

- I go to MA and they have TRIPLE coupons so I got 9 boxes of Pasta Roni for 46 cents! (it was also buy one, get one free at the store). My SIL knows all the tricks and never has a food bill over $10 unless she has to buy tons of meat that week. I actually get jealous that she can triple her coupons!

-It is a Friday at 8pm and Scott and I say 'Well we can go to the early movie tomorrow and save a few bucks. Besides it is getting late to go out now' Sad, but true story.

-He mops the floor for me, and I didn't even ask and I feel more love for him then if he brought me home a dozen roses.

I'm a spazz too - I can't even remember the last time I wore eyeliner - oh wait, my wedding day! LOL But before then? Who knows.

The only make up I wear is concealer, powder & blush. On a night out? The same, plus mascara. That's it!

I have the worst problem with mascara and no matter who advertises the correction, they never work. My eyelashes are really long, so after a few hrs of the application, the black works it's way onto my skin under my eyes - I look ridiculous, like a raccoon. This is only after maybe 5 hrs too - and yes, I buy water resistent, smudgeproof, you name it, I've tried it. The least smudging is Maybelline..... So anyway, i don't wear mascara to work during the day because I look like a freak show come 3 PM. It's too bad, because it really does make my eyes pop!

I do the movie matinee thing too! We will want to go see something on Friday night but say 'oh wait, we can go on Sunday morning and save $$ and miss the crowds!'

We are always in those thearters with 80 years olds!

Re: I am officially an old lady!

that's logical, not crazy! Movies are INSANELY overpriced and the crowds are unbearable!!!
