I am so done (vent on renting)
For all those people who rent let's vote for a day where we can take our landlords out of their home and beat them!
Yea I am seriously angry about many things in life and I try so hard to be the 'secret' inner peace positive thinker blah blah blah. But it sickens me when people rent out apartments then just don't do ANYTHING when something goes wrong. What do you want me to be miserable and hate living there so I leave?
I rent from a nice family who lives on the main floor. The wife works in the city 3 days a week and brings her young kids in with her. The husband owns/works a chinese food kitchen and works every day as far as I can tell from 10-10. Yea I realize it's hard because of crappy working hours,etc. But we moved in Oct. had no working heat until December. Now our cable has been out for over a week - no TV for a week has its benefits but is driving my husband up a wall and making me then miserable. We keep calling and calling no replies to our messages, etc. Finally we run out to see the husband (who speaks no english) and he just motions to us that he will fix it. WHAT???
I think since we have the cable split from their cable we will be 'found' and then forced to get our own cable which doesn't bother me unless they deduct it from our rent. It says in our lease we get cable, but i fear for a fight. I just wish we had money to buy a house or something. Tired of landlords who do nothing except for when the rent comes up and they run to take your money and then disappear.
