Just went through and opened up all of our flatware and service pieces in an attempt to wash them and put them away in our new chest.
Every single set of the 13 place settings had some kind of damage-- either the pattern wasn't fully stamped in or there were scrapes along side the edges of the spoons or forks which would totally cut someone's mouth if used. plus 1/3 of the serving pieces were damaged similarly. I am SOOOO ticked!

Grrrrrr that's annoying!!!! It's a good thing you opened them otherwise can you imagine if they were discontinued . Go give said store an earful

I had the same problem with our glasses...at least 2 in every box was chipped and had finger smudges on them so you could definitely tell that someone had returned them and they just put them backon the shelf
