... but DH found a house that is in foreclosure for $116,000!!! It's in a good neighborhood not far from us! He has been to the bank already to see if we can buy it before the auction. The auction is December 17. The house looks SO nice from the outside - it even has a fireplace and above-ground pool!!! Keep your fingers crossed for us!!!![]()

LOL not a problem! We are currently living in what used to be his grandparents' house. We pay rent to his parents. IF we get this other house, we are either going to: rent it out and have his parents take a major rent cut while we're working on it and paying 2 mortgages (well, 1 mortgage and 1 rent).
Or, if they refuse to give us a major break on the rent, we will just move into that house and leave his parents to figure out what to do with his grandparents' house (I like this option best)

Thank you! All I know about the inside is that the kitchen is gutted and that there's an apt upstairs with a private entrance. Not a clue what it looks like beyond that, or even how many bedrooms, bathrooms, etc. It's driving me nuts!![]()

Thank you! All I know about the inside is that the kitchen is gutted and that there's an apt upstairs with a private entrance. Not a clue what it looks like beyond that, or even how many bedrooms, bathrooms, etc. It's driving me nuts!![]()
honestly for that price- it really doesnt matter- you can always do the bear minimum to make it livable & probably flip it in 2-3 years for like 5times what you paid
