I cant believe this BS

Let me say first that i can deal with alot of BS and people but my new job is just way too much. To prove how insane it is, everybody besides the boss and one lady who works there and dont know why she stays, but everybody else is there under a month, which was a big sign when all employee's are basically new at a place that is not new. The first day she shows me to my office and thats it, doesnt show me around which ok fine. I have never seen a more messy, dirty place. My desk you couldnt even see bc there were stacks and stacks of papers, folders with papers coming out of it, and i mean like 50 or more folders and loose papers everywhere, even on the floor, it was a disaster. I had to file everything away bc i cant work like that. Now from the first day i knew something was VERY weird, bc i guess im in the old office managers office, and she still had tons of her paperwork there. There were also boxes of resumes under the desk which i found weird and half the files on the comp are resumes. But i found alot of employee contracts, and then the same employee's resignation letters just 1-3 months later, i looked online at other files and everybody leaves right away, somebody even resigned after 3 days lol. They also had tons of time sheets from employment agencies bc they had to have temps all year round since most of their employee's leave. Infact now half the positions arent filled bc people left. The funny thing is that there were 4 of us who were new, one girl quit yesterday and another one didnt come today, i think she quit also. IN YEARS they havent had any employee's stay more than a few short months, and most after just 1-2 months.

I also found a stack of memo's that the boss writes to employee's that are insane. The persons office that i am in now, had a ton of crazy memo's the boss would write to her and constantly. I also saw a folder filled for others that were all memo's. Telling one person not to have idle chatter with customers and if they cant do this then to resign, since when dont you talk to customers lol, oh yeah and we cant talk to eachother either, only if its about work otherwise we are told no idle chatter, and we cant ever make personal phone calls or anything like that. Memo's about how somebody formatted the letter wrong which ill say other businesses dont do it like him, but why not just tell the person, instead he says its unacceptable and told the person maybe they should resign. Its crazy bc another thing is they dont tell you what to do, its like they'll quickly say something, and wont tell you how they want it or where anything is. Today me and another girl wasted an hour to find info that they couldnt tell us where it was, they get annoyed if you ask. I even asked a question today about what he wanted me to do with these certain invoices since they were all wrong but kept asking me to add it to the total, and he just yelled. Oh and he yells like a maniac all the time, not even normal boss type yelling, but i mean going nuts. I feel so bad for the receptionist bc ive heard him go off on her so much and real nasty and horrible, he even started slamming her phone. And thats just part of it, theres so much more.

Today they had me to 2 years worth of work that hasnt been done, all in like an hour which i didnt know what they were thinking, there was no way possible considering all i had to do. I got to work before 8am, had a ton of stuff to do before even doing that. Then towards end of day when i was trying to finish it, he says he needs it all done by tonight bc he needs it tomorrow morning, bc its due tomorrow, but he waited until today to do this, this was 2 years worth of invoices not entered, including the spreadsheets he wanted with all of them including a description of it all and to check them all. I stayed until 7pm doing it, and then when i was done and said i checked quickbooks to make sure if invoices were paid, i get told that no not everything is paid through there so to look for the hard copy. I say ok and ask where it is, it was in filing cabinets. So i say ok i could do this quick. I go to check and see there is no file for this company we were billing so i ask where the file is, they say there is no file. So for example the whole year of 2008, there were folders by months, jan 08, feb 08 and so on, and each folder contained a massive amount of papers, and each one had a list of those who paid, either written down or typed up but no actual invoices. Everything was a mess. I looked and realized quickly how long it would take to go through each month just to look for each payment this company sent, which btw there were 190 invoices for 2008. It wouldve taken a long time and i wouldnt have gotten out until 9pm, it was already after 7pm already. Also i didnt even get to go to lunch today, i had to work through lunch bc while i was trying to get this done he kept giving other things to do. I was seriously starting to feel sick since i didnt eat anything all day and from before 8am working non-stop until after 7pm. The other girl gets in at 7am and she was still there and was trying to get out of there while i was leaving, she was so upset. She spent so much time figuring out how to do something bc they wouldnt show her when she asked.

I said if i can finish it in the morning bc i had to go, i had to meet with someone at 7:30pm and i was already late, which i was and i was so annoyed i even said that i wasnt feeling well, i hadnt eaten a thing and for 11 hours didnt have a moment to stop. She seemed a bit annoyed but i wasnt about to stay until 10pm, and then get home at 11pm and wake up at 6am. I dont mind busting my a*8 but not for ppl who treat you like sh*t and yell, and dont show you stuff, and expect you to do 2 years worth of work in forget one whole day but a few hours. Was i wrong to leave? now i keep thinking of the BS im going to deal with tomorrow but i couldnt at that moment. Ill do it quickly in the morning although with 2 other girls quitting this week, ill probably be given a million other things to do. Oh yeah and have to work some sat's, same hours, so i think i might have to do it this sat. Oh yeah and i saw their unemployment folder for just 08 and i swear it takes up most of the filing cabinet, now i know why. And im supposed to get out at 6 but i doubt that will ever happen, at a few mins before 6pm they always find something to give me that needs to be done then, i get home past 8 and the commute is not long so get out past 7. Yesterday i went into the girls office that quit, omg there were invoices all over the floor i had to watch not to step on it, all over the desks falling over, its a disaster.
