Ok so I went today to dye my hair red but took more than once to get it lol. This guy was supposed to do it but he was real sick and left early, so this other girl who works there said she'll do it. Now i personally like her alot but she never listens to me, shes done my hair twice before and both times i told her what i wanted, she disagreed and did it her way and i didnt like it. SO i was hesitant from the beginning, but the guy had told her what formula to use. From the beginning she said OH NO dont do that do a natural color, which i do NOT want at all with red, what i was showed was too close to light brown and i said no. Ok so she dyes it, and the owner sees it and he even said its not red. He told me he'll blow dry my hair and show me. ANd it was like a light brown. He said this is what it looks like a month after you dye your hair red and its all faded.
So he said, i'll do it. He went in the back, mixed it up and dyed my hair again lol. This time it came out AMAZING!!!!! its a deep burgundy color, and i love it color is amazing. He then cut my hair, and he did such a great job too. I cut it shorter again. The back is PERFECT!!!! better than all the other times i got it cut short, even the front is perfect. I am so HAPPY with the results I FINALLY got it cut how i want and love the color.
Here are some real bad pics, my camera is real messed up and taking blurry pics or flash not working properly. But what can i do. So you cant really see color well in the pics, but this will do.

OMG - i love it!!! I've been wanting to do something fun with my hair also, but out here in Colorado there just does not seem to be ANY good Salons. I went to one I heard was ok, but when I left, my hair looked pretty much exactly as it did when i came in Ugh. I wish I was back in NY where I had been going to the greatest Salon ever.
Did your DH see the hair yet??? I'm sure he'll LOVE it! It looks amazing!

ahhh i hate when you go get your hair done and you dont like it ive had that experience way too many times that it is hard for me to trust. Well i almost left disappointed today, it was NOT at all what i wanted. THANK GOD the owner himself said 'YOU ARE NOT LEAVING THE SALON WITHOUT THE COLOR YOU WANTED' now thats how a salon should be, i was so happy when he did. So sorry, but is there anyone you can get recommendations from, there has to be somebody good in your area.
No , he is in arizona actually and wont be home until friday night

yesss, i am VERY untrusting when it comes to my hair!! (I've had a few BAD hair cuts in my day) So i'm glad the salon I went to didn't 'ruin' it, they just didn't do ANYTHING basically. Which is stupid. I really need to find a good place. There must be at least ONE out here - - I'd probably have to travel into the city though

That is just as frustrating though, bc you just wasted all that money for nothing ya know. One time that happened to me. The girl did highlights and not like highlights are cheap but she did them so thin and close to my hair color you couldnt tell i even did it. I told ppl after and nobody knew i dyed my hair, it was brown at the time and i was trying to get it blonde Theres gotta be some site that recommends salons in your area

that is toooo funny! I'm so bad with keeping secrets. Once I got my hair cut though and Dh knew I was going to get it done. (he was still living in Co & I was in NY at the time). So afterwards I put on a wig and sent him a picture on his phone. He really is not a fan of very short hair on girls, so I put on a horribly short black haired wig. Sooo funny. He thought it was real, and was all like 'Are you happy with how it turned out?', trying to sound neutral. lol. I couldn't even keep with that joke long enough. I immediately told him it was fake and he thanked the Lord. lol. It did NOT look good on me.
You're right though, maybe I can find some kind of website that would recommend a Salon. Too bad there's not an 'LIW' for Colorado chicks. Then i could ask THOSE girls. But people out here are soo different. I barely ever see them dressed up for ANY occasion and they just don't seem to care about their hair (and appearance in general) like we do. Strange.

lol yeah i dont get afraid bc dh is pretty easy with this. He likes the whole changing it up alot thing. When i had to cut it he was happy about that and kept telling me i needed to cut and that the long hair i had wasnt stylish bc it was so dried out and limp Even when i said once i would love pink and blonde hair, he said Oooo yeah go for it
hmmm theres gotta be someone that is good though lol or maybe you'll have to make a trip to NYC soon lol
