Ok so I have been having pains on my right side for quite awhile now, but its been getting worse and worse so I finally caved and went to the dr. They are sending me for a sono tomorrow on my gall bladder and liver and I guess all the questions that I had didnt sink in until I got back to work...
Does or has anyone ever had any problems with their gall bladders? Everything I read online says people who are overweight or eat lots of fatty foods tend to have problems with their gall bladder, but I really dont fit that profile. I am not overweight, and sure I enjoy the occasional greasy fatty foods, but its not part of my daily diet.
I dont know anyone who has had problems so I dunno if my pain is from the gall bladder or something else...
Any thoughts or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I had this.
I went last year to get this checked out. It was a false alarm. They thought it was a gall bladder issue. I went for a sono and all was well.
It may be just gas or something. Don't fret. I am sure it's nothing.
My experience was actually the opposite because when i went to the ER they thought I had gas so they made me drink some weird stuff and take tums but then the pains came back in raging force a few hours later so then they did the Sono and saw the gallstones. The sono will def be able to tell what is going on!

Almost all the women in my family have had to have their gallbladders removed...none of them overweight. There are SO many things that can cause this...thankfully I havent had to get mine out yet. It has already given me problems...but nothing serious enough to get it out.
My sister got her's done 2 years ago...the procedure is pretty simple and has a speedy recovery. You'll be down for 2 or 3 days. Hopefully it ends up not being that...but if it does, good luck!

i am overweight and have had my gall bladder out. so if you have any questions about it i can answer those for ya.
but i do know PLENTY OF VERY SKINNY girls that have had their gall bladders out as well
