I feel like crying

I have a 15 page paper due on Tuesday. I have always been a procrastinator this is nothing new. I am just staring at the computer screen. I am so sick of school. I figured out approximately how many papers I have written since I started college in 1995 and continued on. I would say about 240. I am really getting a lot done here...HUH? I just needed to vent and to take a break from trying to write this monster paper. Thanks everyone!

Thanks 1017Bride!!! That means a lot! I will take you up on that offer to vent every so often. I hate to sound like a complainer. I know there are many other people out there who are in the same boat as me!

If it makes you feel better I have a final tomorrow and it is now 11:25pm and I haven't even started studying. I have been so busy finishing up reports for other subjects.

I feel your pain. It will be over soon. I'm sure you'll get through it. Starting a paper is always the hardest part.

JLo & Margaret, I'm right there with you. I'm sitting here working on my Research Proposal for my FINAL class for my Masters and I'm doing anything I can to avoid it. I'm so half-assed.......NOT a good thing. I at least have until Tuesday to email a draft, but still. I should be WORKING!!!!!!!!!

I know how you feel! I just finished my Master's thesis a few months ago (got an A!) and it was sheer torture writing that paper. I had to lock myself in my house every weekend for like 2 months straight. Talk about depressing.
The one thing that helped me though was I listened to techno on my computer while I worked. It actually lifted my spirits a little and helped me concentrate.

I know how you feel. I have been a full time graduate student for the last 4 years. Writing papers can be pure torture! Just hang in there. You'll get it done!

I am working on my Masters...and was so unprepared for the work load...Don't stress, I worked non-stop this weekend on my final papers and projects. The last assignment is due on Thursday...I still haven't begun that one.



ETA: what is the paper on?

JLo I am right here with you girl, so vent away. I also have a 15 page paper due tomorrow and still cannot get motivated. I have about 5 pages done now. This is my last class and my last paper ever, which is quite exciting, but that still doesn't get me motivated. Argh!

I can not express how much it means to me that all of you are sooooooooooo supportive and in the same boat! I truly appreciate it!!!!! Kerr.........I am doing a full-time internship program with my Masters. The paper is on Portion Distortion and how it is linked to Obesity. I am a dietitian. The research articles I have been reading at least are really interesting. Thanks Again!!!

When I did my Master's Thesis it was easiest when I broke it into sections--5 pages a day, etc. Good luck! I am working on my doctoral program application essays now.

I totally understand where you are coming from- my master's thesis which is 20-30 pages long is due on the 22nd! Hang in there, you can get throu it!

I feel your pain. The end of my school quarter was the weekend before my wedding. I was so stressed out about papers and finals and work and the wedding, I just started crying one day at work. hang in there. Even though this advice may sound shallow it's helped me, remember that at this point all you have to do is get through and get your degree, no one will ever see your report card. I gave up on being a perfect student and getting A's when I hit grad school. So just do your best and what ever happens happens. Good luck.

i know how you feel.....i graduated in may with my master's. i couldn't wait to get out. talk about stress......I had my last yr of grad. school, planned a wedding and went house hunting/moved all in a year. if i could do all that, you can definitely get through your paper. hope i helped.
