I feel naked
I was typing up something for work earlier tonight and looked at my hand and noticed that my wedding band was missing a diamond.I immediately grabbed DH and we went to the jeweler and they are fixing it without a problem or anything but I'm still upset.
I've only been wearing it for a little less than a month b/c i didn't start wearing it regularly till we got back from the HM.
I'm not rough with it, and didn't bang it or anything today. I'm really hoping this isn't a sign of things to come, I can't imagine having to get it fixed all the time, but I'd never want to get a different ring either...
Anyone else have a similar problem/situation?

Re: I feel naked
Maybe the prongs that hold the diamonds in need to be tightened???

Re: I feel naked
I think PeteysBride Jenn had this happen as well!!! But she recently changed her wedding band, so I knowshe didn't bother to fix it when it first happened.YOu may want to get some kind of warranty from your jeweler, that they'll replace any that pop out for free, for life, or whatever they'll agree to??
That should NOT be happening!!!!!

I do have a service plan with them for 3 years, anything goes wrong with the diamonds and they replace them.

what does your ring look like?
It was one of the diamonds on the side, in the middle closest to the e-ring.

beautiful!
do the diamonds go all the way around?
I've heard of some people having a little trouble with the diamonds if they go all the way around... and are you a lefty?
mine go all the way around but i haven't lost any.... it could be the prongs though as someone mentioned...

Thank you
No, they only go half way around like the E-ring does.
I'm thinking that if it becomes an issue I'll have to only wear it for special occasions.

Re: I feel naked
I had a similar problem while on our HM though!I have a similar band- when the jeweler ordered it for me, it only came in a size 7 - when they sized it to a 5, I guess the setting came a little loose. DH and I were in the pool and I look down and I saw that I lost a diamond and he was like you're kidding and didn't believe me until he looked for himself.
We came back on a Sunday and I went right back to work and then that week I lost another diamond. The following weekend we had both replaced for us on the spot.

Yea, I had it sized from a 7 down to a 5 too.
Grrr. Have you had any issues since then?
It's so frustrating b/c I just had the ring inspected 4 days ago, and again a month ago before wearing it. It's part of the plan that I get it inspected every 6 months, and the other day it was b/c I needed it cleaned.
I'm hoping it doesn't happen again.

Hmmm, maybe, I hadn't thought of that. That part of the rings don't really touch but maybe when it spins it does.
Thank you! It took me forever to find a wedding band to match the E-ring.

Re: I feel naked
I bet its from the friction of your Ering hitting the band. You might want to consider having the two fused together or wear your ering on your other hand. You might also be able to have your ering reset into a higher setting so the prongs don't hit the band as much.

I lost a diamond in my wedding band, the jeweler said that sometimes when they get the rings in they arent set completely tight, just have them check the rest of the settings to make sure each one is tight so that you wont lose another one

thank you for the suggestion, I'm hoping they check that when they fix it.
