I get sad about my dress

I get sad about my dress

I got my dress cleaned right away, so now I can't wear it anymore. It makes me sad. I should have waited a few more months. Now it's stuck in a box.

I took mine off on my wedding night & never saw it again. My MOH took it to get it cleaned & boxed while I was on my HM.

Oh. I at least got to wear mine in my apartment the next day.

I got mine cleaned and boxed and I still play with it. Why not? I'm never going to wear it again...

I might as well enjoy it. I waited my entire life for that dress -- still the most beautiful dress I've ever seen -- and I'm going to play dress up whenever I want to. DH makes a terrible bridesmaid though. He isn't good with the train and grumbles when I ask him to 'fluff me'.

I bought a SpaceBag and now keep my dress in that. Takes up much less room than the box anyway.

Never put mine on since I took it off night of the wedding.....I have a feeling it won't fit right now anyway!

Wait a minute! Nobody said anything about the dress still fitting.... Mine sure doesn't.

Newlywed nine! Ha! That's for amateurs. I gained a Newlywed NINETEEN.

I'm glad I didn't clean mine.

I went as the 'Runaway Bride' for Halloween... wore my dress, fake boquet, fake Greyhound bus ticket and suitcase.

DH went as the groom. He wore a t-shirt with a photo of me packing a suitcase with the word missing on the bottom

We won best costume and people kept saying to me, 'Is that your actual wedding dress?'

Mine is cleaned and boxed, but DH and I plan to dress up for our anniversary.

As others have said, I waited my whole life for that dress, its the most beautiful thing I have ever worn, and it will probably be the most expensive dress I ever own, so why not enjoy it.

honestly, i dont want to wear mine again. it was for that day, and i enjoyed it tremendously. I feel like playing in it would minimize what it was for me - a one time dress. I plan on opening the box when my daughter wants to see it. i'm not a bride anymore!

Thanks- that really made me laugh- I especially liked your spacebag idea too- mine is still bundled up in the corner of my closet.

My dress has been cut up! Instead of paying to dry clean it, we decided to cut large swaths of the fabric that was clean to use later for a baptism gown or something else.

Strangely, I don't feel too sad about not being able to wear the dress anymore, but on the night of the wedding I was VERY sad when I had to take it off.

This is what we have spoken about, but are you going to go out or stay in?

Well, I didn't get mine cleaned, but I got knocked up right away, so I can't wear mine either
I keep it at my mom's house and 'visit' with it every time I go there. Pathetic..I know!
