Ours has detachable straps so we are having them put on.

Curly, I think that dress will be fine for hips (i know all about that problem) b/c it flares at the waste. I would suggest getting a size larger so it doesnt hug you there and then having everything else altered down.
I think the problem areas with that dress are boobs, arms and stomach...so if that is not a problem, then you have nothign to worry about.
Edited to say: I feel your pain. Im so afraid of what my friend is going to pick for her wedding.
I have problems all over, LOL!!!!!! I have NO boobs and flabby arms. Oh well!!!!!!!!

I think the dress is beautiful and that color will look great on you. The seamstress should be able to alter the dress so that the band falls right where it should be so that it flatters you.

Beautiful dress Kari Only a bit concerned about the sash also, it's very thin. But when you try it on will be the true test. I would'nt worry about hips, shoulders or arms, you'll be fine with all of that.
