I got Billy Joel tix!!!! yay!!!!!

It took 45 minutes of dialing on 3 different phones, but we finally got through and got 6 tickets!! it's 3 in one section and 3 in another, so we'll have to split up, but its better than nothing! they didn't have any other combo available for 6 tickets, sux! we tried calling in again to buy another 6, I got through at 10:15 and they were already sold out!!

YAY I've always wanted to see Billy Joel!!! and how awesome will it be to see a concert in Shea Stadium!!! I needed something to cheer me up today!

did anyone else try getting tickets?

ETA- what really stinks is we have more than 6 who want the tickets (including my sister and we have to give them to who we talked to about it first- BIL & SIL and 2 of DH's friends. really stinks, I wish they would have the usual maximum of 8 instead of 6

OMG we were shaking when it finally rang through to an automated message, instead of that annoying operator 'all circuits are busy please try again later' I'm going to have nightmares about that lady tonight


ETA- by the way, I wish I would've checked the site earlier in the week, apparently a pre-sale was on Valentines Day for Mets season ticket holders, I would've tried to find someone who had them (even at my job!!) just to use them as an in for the presale, they probably s ucked up all the good seats, since we're in the upper section (but of course they're still $95 each!!!

I am looking forward to getting our tickets to the final Yankee Stadium game....season ticket holders have presale on Wednesday! It'll be a sad day but I'm so happy I get a chance to be there. I would imagine this would be the most impossible ticket to get this year.

yea I was logged on to the website the whole time, it kept showing that it was busy and it would count down from 60 and then start over again. I wish I could have just bought online, it would've been so much easier!! what section did you get seats in?

wow that's def. going to be impossible!! and I can only imagine the demand for the All Star game at Yankee Stadium this year, when I worked for MLB I would've def. had a good shot at getting tix for that, I'm still in touch w/ some old co-workers, so I prob. could try. good luck on wednesday!! hope you get good seats!

Have fun! Can you believe I have only ever bene to one concert in my life? well 2 but one was TransSiberian orchestra which isnt a real 'concert' and the other was when momma dragged me to see Marc Anthony.
