I was at the doctor's office the other day and had to fill out one of their forms. Instead of checking off 'single' I got to check off 'married!' Being married is still such a new and exciting feeling and it has been nearly 6 mos for us!
Anyone else have reactions like that about being married?

Absolutely!!! We've been married for almost 15 months and we still will just randomly look at each other, smile, and say 'We're Married!'

I actually just went and changed my name on my benefits, and added my husband to my plan.. heheheheh

This happened to me the other day too!!! I got all giddy! The people in the waiting room must have thought I was a weirdo!!!!!

LOL - I actually have a hard time signing my old name now and it's only been 4 months. It's so strange. I kept my maiden name at school and a couple of weeks ago I got an award and had to sign some documents, I signed my maiden with the first initial of my married name.

Yes, everytime I have to check those boxes or get called 'wife' it still makes me giddy!!

Yeah, it has surprised me how fast I am getting used to my new married name. At first I had some difficulty remembering to use it, but now when I see my maiden name listed somewhere, it looks 'foreign' to me and I never thought THAT would happen!

I got used to my new last name faster than I would have imagined also. Last week, I had to sign for a prescription--the doctor had written it to my old last name, and I hadn't noticed until I got to the pharmacy. I decided to sign my old name, and it was strange. I also gave a presentation last week, and my name had been submitted a long time ago, my old name that is--it sounded strange to be introduced with my maiden name. Just a couple months ago, my married name sounded foreign.

yes!!
When DH and were on our flight to Jamaica for the HM, we were given immigration cards from the stewardess. She asked us how many we need and I said we needed 2 because we just got married and our last names are different on our passports. she said 'it doesn't matter, it is one per household and you're a family'.
