I hate housework... Who has a cleaning lady ??

Had to see what other working wives are doing...

We have someone come in once a month to do heavy cleaning and we maintain in between. It's a godsend. I can't stand cleaning floors & windows and they dust everything - including walls & corners:D

We get one to come in every so often to do the big cleaning. She was supposed to come in on Monday, but that meant that I would have to clean first so I cancelled. I was not in the mood to clean.

I don't but I really want to hire one every 2 weeks to do the dusting, etc. . .

We should be in a MUCH better financial situation in a few months, so that's when I'll do it

I AM THE cleaning lady lol
we actually used to have one but she surfaced cleaned, and I told craig I would do it to save money
just seemed stupid to pay her if I had to clean still, when she was done

When I lived in the city in apartments, I always said I would never get one - cleaning myself keeps me grounded and normal but now that I live in the house and life is changing with so much to do - I need one to keep up!

I wish I could afford one to come once a week, or once every other week.
We try really hard & make an effort to keep a clean house. It's clean on Friday night- Sunday night.... come Monday night- not sure what happens, but it seems to look as if hurricane Hugo went through the house! I work 2 jobs & hubby is working long hours lately... so, we're thinking of getting one just to do the big things- scrub the tub & stuff!
I'd rather not eat out once or twice in order to come home to some organization other than the weekends.

I love cleaning my house, I don't think anyone can do it like I can, there are things like dusting that I truly hate but everything else is ok. I never let it get so bad that I felt I needed a CL. and our place is small having someone come in would be a waste of our money.

our cleaning lady is a godsend!!!! even before DH moved in, i had a cleaning lady. i work a ton of hours M-F, and there was no way i was willing to spend one day of the weekend cleaning. she comes every other Monday and the $40 is well worth it. told DH, if i do switch careers and move to teaching, i would let her go, but as long as i continue to work a boat load of hours, she is one of my life's luxuries.

I HATE it. and DH seems to be on strike lately to 'teach me a lesson' about picking up and putting things away. I have to practically BEG him to clean anything and it SUCKS.

I always had a maid growing up so i am not used to all this. this MORNING I am cleaning my bathroom! Ugh. I want a cleaning lady but DH is sketchy about letting someone in the house that he doesn't know. I am sure I can get my mom's lady to come here, he knows her well (shes like a part of the family) but he is still resisiting. I feel your pain!!!

my philosophy is if I work...then I should have someone helping out...

I haven't started my new job yet...so I am doing the cleaning right now...but next motnh things will be different!!!!

Its worth the $$ I have a 1 bedroom apt and she comes for 2 hrs, its the best $60 a month I spend.

I have a cleaning 'guy'...he comes every other week....and it's $50. I have so many mirrors in this place and I hate doing them. I started bringing lunch to work...that's where the $50 comes from. 10 days at $5 a day for lunch = cleaning!!! Well worth it!

All along growing up my paretns had one so I never had to do any cleaning- now with my own home yes, I'd like one but I am sort of enjoying keeping house myself. Of corse I'll probably grow out of it and give in and get one! My DH's mohter also had one but my DH doesn't think they're nescessary!
