I occasionally scan thru my bosses inbox, which I have access to and I saw that there is going to be more layoffs here at my job. I know a few of them that are getting cut and I'm so sad for them. It's killing me that I know and they obviously don't know and they are breaking their necks to get their work done and meet deadlines and yet, they are going to be told to leave by either Friday or Monday.

Quite a few years ago, I was down-sized from my job in November. It's not a good time of year.
Yes, I know there is never a good time of year to be let go...but the holiday time is the worst.

It was supposed to happen tomorrow...which I would prefer, because I feel like I am going to explode from this information, but now I have to wait until Friday or maybe even Monday....Right before Thanksgiving?....God, this is awful.

I feel so bad for you. The company that we share office space with did a few layoffs today. It was soo sad watching people walk out the door with boxes of their belongings.

that def stinks!! Im sorry you have to keep quiet. Im sure its hard! I feel like a lot of companies make lay offs before the holidays. Its like they do it so they dont have to give bonuses. So Selfish!

I feel so bad for everyone that is losing their jobs, especially during the holidays - it just makes it THAT much harder.
It's hard to come to work and have that 'what if' feeling
to you!

That is a terrible feeling! Sorry you have to go through that, I had a simliar experience with one of my really good friends, and I couldn't say anything and it tore me up inside

Oh how I know EXACTLY what you mean. It happened to me at least 3 times when some of the people were my friends and they were scrambling to try to figure out what was going to happen and I couldn't tell them. it was horrible.

waO...that is definitely a hard place to be, but just hope for the best for them, maybe they find other ventures that get them further along
