I hate MACYS! (Fmr: Anyone been to Macys lately?)

I really hate macys. Despite it in fact.

But in search for something to wear to Vegas, im going to go.

Is the dress department there fully stocked or is it all crap?

They usually have a lot of dresses, but I never seem to find anything I like there. But it's worth a try.
Have you tried Bloomingdales? I think if you're going to try a dept. store, you might get a better selection there.

personally, I'd rather wear something I already have than venture to Macy's. Not only is the place completely disoraganised and understaffed, but their petite section is sooo pitiful.

Their non petite section might be better

ETA - have you tried Loehmans on 17th / 18th?

why not walk the extra 4 blocks and go to Lord and Taylor instead.. there dress dept is ok they just re did it.. so the last time i was htere it was not that bad....I just HATE the dressing rooms in there they are so dark and smelly....

UGHHHH!!!

Every single time i go to macys I am ****ed when I leave. why do i torture myself?

I found a dress I really liked but they only had it a size too small. So after much to do, i finally get someone who tells me they have one in my size somewhere in teh store but they will not help me look for it. I look high and low, no dress. There is one other in teh Macys in queens but of course no one can confirm that it is actually there so that is a dead issue. I even called the manufacter and they dont have anymore!!

Ive called over 10 times already. Everyone in that store is incompetent beyond belief. No one can help and they keep transferring me to someone equally retarded.

There is no practical way for me to get there to check if they actually have the dress without going there! Grrrrr....

Claud: That is exactly my feeling. I swear, I have NEVER been to Macys where its not the twilight zone of customer service. Someone will say something to me and I will just be shocked that they will say this outloud b/c the management must care how they treat their customers right? And invariably i will hunt down a manager only to be given even more attitude. The level of apathy and plain laziness in that store is palpable!

This is why i never go to macys!

MACY'S is a zoo.....go to Lord & Taylor. So much more of a pleasant shopping experience and they have a great dress dept.

I agree, Macy's is the WORST when it comes to that. I had a dress with no price tag that was on sale and they told me to come back later to get the price.. I said no YOU will go look it up and get it for me I already wasted too much time here

Lord and Taylor IMO is alot better

honestly I was the same way, but when I went to vegas, I did not do any shopping here. I shopped at vegas. It made the experience even more fun, and they have a terrific mall, macys, bloomingdales included. 100 times better than the macys out here. Def. Check it out.
