I have a question for you newlyweds about wedding gowns/altering

Since you guys have been through it, in your experience do you think that I can get my sweetheart neckline on my dress altered so it's more rounded/scoopneck?

I posted on BHB but maybe you guys would know more about alterations. Anyone that got their dress at Macy's of Manhasset Bridal Salon I'd be particulary interested in your replies since that's where I am getting my dress from.

This is kinda important, if the seamstress tells me no, I'm going to either a) cry every time I put on the dress because I realize I made a mistake or b) go out and try to buy one off the rack which will be next to impossible because of my size.

I think what you are asking is possible as long as you are scooping out the sweetheart part. When I was looking everytime I said, I am not crazy about this or that, the consultant said that could be changed.

But I don't have any expereience in this since I didn't do any major alterations.
