I have the fever. Badly.

Ok so seeing my sister and her baby has officially pushed me over to team 'I want a baby.' I just do. Something clicked and I just want one. Unfortunately, we are not ready financially or in a house yet so we cant have one. I feel so sad that we both work SO hard and just can't seem to make enough money to get a house. Darn school loans! Ugh. ANyone else feel that way?

if you are waiting for school loans to be paid you will never have a kid!!! i will be paying mine for the rest of my life!!!

I have crazy baby fever...on Saturday SD and I went to my MOH's daughter's 2nd bday party...there were so many babies there, all different ages...I was just about ready to throw myself out a window with how badly I want a baby!!!! DH does too and there's nothing we can do about it because I'm still in school and there's no way we could have a baby while we're still in this apartment...so...its another 2 years probably for us.

But I tell DH almost every day 'Can we please have a baby?? Lets have a baby. Help me make a baby!' Good for him that he's got the willpower to say no to me...

I don't know if anyone is ever financially ready for a kid lol...unless u r a millionaire lol...if u guys have some space in ur place I say go for it...u will make it work..we never know how we do it but we get by...

U guys would be amazing parents and that would be one adorable baby!!!...give it some time to think about it and see how u guys feel

You will figure it out and adapt. We didn't expect to get pregnant this quickly but we did.

If we waited till we were financially ready, I would be collecting life insurance for my DH. We won't be able to give our child everything they desire but at the same time I don't want to spoil the baby anyway. It's a great balance.

yeah i'm getting the fever pretty bad. but it would be so silly for us to do it right now being that we're moving into our first house within the next couple of months. we have to do things one thing at a time or else we both get crazed.

I have the fever but i agree with you - we are no where near ready financially for a kid.
DH & I are trying to pay down debt (including pesky student loans!) while trying to save for a house.

Once we can actually afford a house, then we will try. But its going to be a lonnnng few years.

Nope still don't have it and after being away last week with DH's family including his 22 month old niece it really made it clear that we are still on the no baby page

yeah, we are in the same boat as you. DH always had baby fever for years even before the wedding, lol. Now that I am finally having baby fever we know we should really wait until we are more financially stable and with a house. It sux !

YES!!!! DH and i have been looking and it sucks b/c we don't make a lot of money BUT we are managing to work it out. we want a house VERY badly, but it was more important to have a baby sooner. our parents are young and so are we. we both wanted that when having kids.

my dad said this to me when i said how badly we want a house and to make more money:

'You can always make more money, somehow, someway. You can never replace what that little girl is.'

we will find the house that works for us and we will make it all work. day care is only for a couple of years before she goes to school. we know it will be hard for a few years but honestly, it is all worth it. i am a firm believer in things happening for a reason and i KNOW that little girl came when she was ready to. it was just RIGHT AWAY!! HAHAHA!!!!

you'll figure out what's right for you guys! HAVE A BABY. maddy needs more LIW friends!

DH and I go back and forth as well. We both really want a baby but we're not even close to the whole buying a house stage. I'm pretty sure baby will come first. However after spending a day with my almost 4 year old niece I tend to change my mind! She's exhausting!

u have to do whats right for you , you will NEVER have enough money but if you feel like you will be too stressed to have a healthy pregnancy then thats another story. if there is a will there is a way

Agreed. I'll be paying them off while I'm baby making. Oh well. Can't put life on hold..

I'm not sure anyone is every ready in every aspect of their lives. You live in a condo so really you have the space. ....ideal maybe not but doable....I'm sure. As far as money.....you will never be set.

If I waited til my loans were paid off I'd be 66 years old......DJ and I gave over 1/4 million in student loans but we aren't letting that stop us from our future

I wish we could say we had the room and that our loans wouldn't stop us but DH is a planner and just feels like it was be a real stretch and is set on us having ahouse first. And we are over the 1/4 million mark lol
