I JUST GOT THIS EMAIL FROM MY PUBLISHER!!! NO HARDCOVER BOOK FOR ME!

We regret to inform you that the order you placed using coupon code REFB777 has been cancelled. According to the data in our systems, you were not authorized to use this coupon. You will not incur any charges of any kind for the order you placed with this coupon. Effective immediately, this order has been cancelled out of our system and no charges for any purchase have been processed.

Unfortunately, there have been a large number of unauthorized users of this coupon who received it from illegitimate sources – friends passing it to other friends or postings on internet chat boards.

This has forced us to distinguish between authorized and unauthorized users, as defined, below, and to cancel all orders from unauthorized users.

Authorized Users

Authorized usage of this coupon is limited to the people who received an actual e mail from MyPublisher offering them the coupon. The following terms and limitations were included in that e mail:

Terms and Limitations of Coupon Code REFB777 —

This coupon entitles the user to $20 off one MyPublisher book order placed by Oct.31, 2004. This coupon is limited to one usage per customer. MyPublisher reserves the right to cancel this offer at any time and without any notice on any date prior to Oct. 31, 2004 if circumstances concerning the use of the coupon exceed or violate the original distribution or intent.

Authorized users of this coupon as defined above were offered a link to MyPublisher BookMaker software for them to use to place this order. That software was coded and identified each person who used it as an “authorized user of coupon code REFB777.”

After searching our database, we have determined that you did not download the software that is required to confirm that you are authorized to use this coupon code.

Unauthorized Users

All people who got this coupon and used it who were not offered it in the original e-mail from MyPublisher and did not download the software linked to that email, including, but not limited to:

* People who got this e-mail from a friend or any other source who without authorization from MyPublisher passed it along to other people.
* People who got this e-mail from an Internet chat board or from any Internet site that posted coupon for use by all their viewers.
* People who received this coupon from any source other than a legitimate e- mail from MyPublisher.

We regret we have had to take this step and apologize for any inconvenience to you.


edited to add: I am not getting one, single book!!! I spent A LOT of time on them!

dammit! i just received the same letter! i ordered 3 albums. i'm still getting one, tho which is great. but the one i really wanted to get is the one i made for my grandmum =(
sorry gals! i was trying to spead teh good fortune around for ya'll...
i got the coupon code from a friend who got it from a friend who got it from a forum and so on...

It emailed me a coupon that is expired

I emailed them from one of my addresses that had not yet received the email.

They responded right away with a message that was not as nice as the first email that I posted.

In it, they also said that they have terminated ALL of the coupons that are for free items...
