I know I'm not the only one ...

I was browsing some of the other boards, and all the intentional misspellings and bad grammar makes my eyes hurt. Seriously.

It pains me to read it ....

Do people think it makes them cooler?

I should just stick with you girls, where we represent ourselves as the intelligent women that we are.

That's a pet peeve of mine too, but I try not to notice, I really do!!!
I think 1/2 think its 'cool' and the other 1/2 honestly don't know its bad grammar/spelling/etc.

The Catholic nuns ruined me for life with this kind of thing; I still get the urge to diagram sentences once in a while...

nah - there's a difference between a spelling mistake and then an entire post being nothing but jibberish....

I can't stand when even the topic is spelled wrong....

i'm just too lazy to capitalize or check my spelling. i try to be good w/ the spelling, but if i make a mistake, i won't edit it for spelling - sheer laziness.

Me too, but I think it's the intentional misspelling that is the worst. I get that we are all not great spellers, but come on....

I'm really really not talking about TYPOS, or common misspellings of words .... I promise!

I'm referring to those who make a CHOICE to spell a word wrong because it looks cool!!!!!!!

I also can't stand to look at my cousins' myspace pages. I don't understand a word of it! They all talk (type) like they are from 'da hood' meanwhile they live in babylon

I should've been a proofreader. I get so much satisfaction from correcting grammatical errors.
