I love dh, but I'm so mad at him right now

My family lives in Oklahoma, my whole family has been planning to go home for the 4th of July, there are five siblings plus children now and husbands..for the first time in YEARS..we would all be HOME..it is also my parents 40th wedding anniversary and my mom is havinga photographer come to the house..airfare just went down and Dh told me to book the tickets....so I booked them.. Ive been soooooo excited...now hes saying he cant take off because three other foremen already took off, his boss says NO WAY..He told me to go ahead and get the tickets and I assumed he had already taken the days off....he says he figured it was amonth and a half away and thought it would be ok....WHERE IS HIS COMMON SENSE> UGHHHHH So now he may only be there for 24 hours...I cant believe it! He will fly in, celebrate with us and leave the next day.

I just needed to vent...thanks for listeneing!

Sorry ALicia! I would be so upset too! Guy don't think sometimes. Is there any way he can switch days or something with someone else?? I know it's not much but at least he can be there for the day.

sorry but maybe if he can explained that it is special circustances he may be able to switch with someone and work another hoilday or something that someone else needs off. i hope it works ill keep my fingers crossed

Oh alicia, I'm sorry!! Sometimes it's so hard to get time off, and I bet Dex thought no one else would be taking off during that time. I know where I work, at certain times of the year, we all scramble to get our time off before others put in for it!! It sounds like on heck of a party though!! I think it's great you are all getting together!!

DH didn't mean to screw up the vacation....don't be too mad for too long!

You guys are so great to vent too! Thanks for listening! He unfortunatly cant switch with anyone because three guys took off along time ago...oh well..so now he'll come in friday night and leave sunday mid day..so he'll have alittle more than 24 hours..I know he didnt do it on purpose..he just doesnt think sometimes

Alicia that sucks!!! Men are so like that sometimes. But he is coming for 1 day at least. That's alot of flying in one 24 hour period! Sorry that he didn't ask for it off sooner!!

Thanks for letting me vent!! I should be happy that hes atleast going! he will be there for the important things..so I need to quit complaining..and now he can take off another time when we can go on vacation...so Ill think positive! Thanks again everyone for listening!!
