I LOVE SEPHORA
Ok so I need to make a mini ave. I know alot of ladies use SEPHORA and I always do as well because I love their exchange/return policy. Its great for the indecisive and clears up my makeup draw lol.
BUT yesterday at the one near my job, the kid who rang me up and I do mean KID, was sooo nasty to me out of the blue. ( My mom says its going to eb a full moon lol)
He was looking up my beauty insider card. He couldn't find it even though I gave him my birthday as well as email, first and last name.
Him: (Snotty) 'Ypu're not in here.'
Me: 'Yes I am. Did you look by birthdate.'
Him: (rollign his eyes now): 'You're NOT in my system.'
Me: (annoyed now): 'That's impossible. I have been a Beauty Insider since you uys started the program. Please check it again.'
Him: 'Its SO possible. You don't know hat you're talkign about.'
At this point another associate stepped in and she looked anf found it. She had the nerve to tell me I should give my birthday instead and I waslike 'Um I GAVE IT to him.'
Needless to say I was really pissed because I was dropping alot of $$ and I didnt even get everythign i needed because they were out. So I went to the one on 43 and Tomes Square and they were really pleasant and I explained to the girl ringing me up what had happened and she told me to go to corporate and write a letter because Sephora didn't allow that kind of attitude at all.
I almost did too because i was POed, but I checked myself because I used to work retail and have been a manager and had complaints against employess made that broadsided me so I wanted to give the manager a heads up.
So I called, asked fora manager and let me just say, love thatbwoman.
A few weeks ago I spoke about how crappy customer service seems to be in stores lately..this girl was on point.
Long story short she knew who I emant when i descrbed him, promised to speak to him, apologized a million times on behalf of her and her store and took my information to send me a giftcard with a pretty nice amount on it, for the trouble with Sephora's apologies.
I did tell her she didnt need to give me the giftcard but she insisted and I have to say, even if she hadn't sent the giftcard, the fact that she offered and knew exactly how to handle a violtile client situation, impressed me. she realized it was more important to pacify the client because one pissed off client can =pissed off corporate and bad sales etc.
She even offered to call me back after she spoke to him and I told her it wans't necessary, I just wanted her to know so I wasn't that @ss who broadsides the manager who may simply not know what her employees are doign when her back is turned.
I am still writing a letter to corporate, but now its a letter praising their choice of her as a manager.
So long story FINALLY done lol, I recomend Sephora now more than ever because they have great polices and are just professional. Go Sephora!
