When we went we couldnt find that natural bridge despite driving all around for it. ahhaha

Where are the pics? You know I want em!

you should have heard DH and I in the car - me with the map and him cursing!

he NEVER curses either!!!

Then when we finally arrived he was like - what, this is it??!!

I didn't take any digital pics so I'll have to wait a few days for the film to be processed - but I'm going to drop them off tomorrow

Tammy - Thanks! Also - be very glad you bought a maternity two piece - it's SO much easier when you have a two piece in the bathroom!! I had forgotten about this since I last wore a one piece about 10 years ago

Your so right Teri!! I did have a tankini, so the 2-piece was the way to go with the amount of times I had to go! It was hot, so I drank a lot of water, and with walking every where, it makes you have to go even more. I swear I visited every ladies bathroom there was at this resort, and then some!

glad you had a great trip. my husband and i jyst got back from aruba and we loved it. flying fishbone was our favorite. we went there on valentines day. very romantic. i love the water and the weather. it never rained the whole time we were there. were booking to go back next year... it was hard for us to leave as well.

Teri: Our timeshare is at La Cabana and our week is Nov. 13th through the 20th. We are watching the flights already

since we waited too long last year and wound up not going....

Teri ... it sounds like you had an amazing time. I just love Aruba too. My parents own timeshare at the Playa Linda, which is right next door to the Hyatt. I love it there and can't wait to go with Rob ... hopefully next year.

I can't wait to see pics!

Ugh - that was the one complaint I had about the Marriott. A better system needs to be put in place...and sadly, they just changed their policy but it sucks!

They decided to reserve 50% of the palapas to first come first served for free, but the second half you have to reserve well in advance, and pay for! ($50 i think for first row, $25 or so for middle and $15 for the back)

Of course I knew this might happen, but when we arrived, I put our names on the list and thought we were going the free route. Then, the day before we left, we finally got one and it was so overrated!

We stayed there for a little bit and then headed back to the pool area. Each day we swam in the ocean for a bit but got bored so went back to the pool.

The kicker was seeing that we were charged $15 for the palapa

At their high rates, they should really though this in for free.

Oh and another thing -becuse of the palapa issue, lines form at 7 AM for these things - no thanks! Not worth it to us. So instead, many now throw their towels on a pool chair instead, so by 8 AM, 95% of the pool area is booked for the day. That's right fair either. One day, we noticed that a whole row of lounge chairs that had been reserved since 8 AM hadn't been touched at all....whoever reserved them didn't even bother to use them or at least free them up for another family.

But other than that we loved our trip!

I think the palapas were overrated too...we only had one for one day and only used it for a bit...we loved the pool area more.

Did you try Simply Fish at the Marriott?

I know - I was aggravated about that since it's so incredibly tacky, but each AM we just grabbed a pool chair before heading in for breakfast and it worked out

We didn't go to Simply Fish since I can't eat any of it but we did go to Waves for a few drinks to watch the sunset

it's definitely a good idea to watch the flights - a direct flight there will probably always be high but you never know.

Cira - those are nice! I think that was the huge complex right in front of Sbarros and Texas De Brazil....
