Re: I'm Home:)

Thanks everyone

This was actually one of our better vacations - there were no incidents, disasters, good weather, etc. Just fun and relaxation

It's actually good to be home, but of course it stinks to be back at work!

Erica - I forgot to mention we did take 60/89/89A northbound. We had no idea it would double the length of the trip. The woman at the hotel said it would take an extra 45 minutes, it took us 4 and half hours to get to Sedona and then another hour to Flagstaff. Bad day in the car even though it was beautiful outside the car.

Re: I'm Home:)

Christine...I didn't even think how long it would take...but those roads are pretty curvy huh? I know the one by John's moms house - you can barely do 20-30mph...'Yarnell Hill'

I know when we were driving our stuff to AZ we were in prescott (45 min) away...but we stopped for the night (2am) b/c we were so tired and didn't want to take those roads in that state...

but I hope you enjoyed the scenary...much different from Phoenix/Scottsdale...right?

how did you like Flagstaff?

Re: I'm Home:)

The trip was really beautiful and really curvy but fun and so much different then Scottsdale! Scottsdale reminded me of Long Island and South Florida combined.

In all honesty, we didn't do anything in Flagstaff. We switched our days around and went to the Grand Canyon on Monday so we dropped our stuff at the hotel and drove through. Then left first thing Tuesday to go to Sedona. From the ride up it looked like we would want to spend more time there.

I think it was Jerome that looked like a neat town but we didnt stop there.

Good move to stop on the way down - it is not for anyone being the least bit sleepy, especially at night. That must be REALLY scary!
