I'm on strike!

DH doesn't wear his wedding band. Like not ever. Supposedly he knows where it is and he meant to bring it with him to FL when we went earlier in the month, but he didn't.

I KNOW he isn't out being a d!ck and it really just annoys him to wear it, but I didn't want to wear my e-ring either! I never wore rings b/c they annoyed me, but I figured it was meaningful, so I did it.

Now, I'm on strike. I'm not wearing my e-ring or wedding band. I KNOW MIL will prob say something, but my response will be, 'Your son doesn't wear his.' (and I WILL roll my eyes)

That would bother me too but Id feel like I'd just be spiting myself by not wearing mine - I love them so much!

I understand. DH wears his ring everyday, but that is only because he uses it to open beers and likes bashing it on things. My brother never wears his rings unless it to go to a wedding. He is a mechanic and could lose a finger on the job. As long as you know he isn't leaving it home for other reasons, I wouldn't be that upset.

I don't care if DH leaves, I am still wearing my bling...

Gotta be honest - it would really bother me / piss me off if DH didn't rock his ring. Prior to his wedding band, DH never wore ANY jewelry...not even a watch. He says it still kinda catches his attention but it doesn't bother him per se.

Think the strike thing is funny but I agree with CB - I wouldn't be able to not wear my rings - I love love love wearing them!

Dh hates wearing his wedding band only cause he doesnt like wearing any type of jewelry... He always is taken if off and playing with it..lol.. I def feel its important for him to wear his ring , I do understand its not confortable cause its a tiny bit big on him and hes not used to wearing anything but hes married and needs to suck it up!!

Been there, done that! Now, after he realized how much it bothered me, the ring is all but soldered to his finger.

What about getting is tattooed on? DH offered this as a compromise, but he just got used to wearing it.

ETA: Also, DH figured out he can open a beer with his wedding ring... so he likes to wear it and show off at parties.

I bought Shaun a really inexpensive ring because i just assumed that he wouldnt wear it... and he hasnt taken it off since... it would definitely be upset if he didnt want to wear it for any other reason other than his job...

Whoa! That would drive me nuts too. Why is he being so difficult? is it too uncomfortable on him? Whatever! Inside the house is not a big deal...but I would totally be all over his a$$ when he doesn't wear it out in public.

DH hates his ring with a passion. he hates jewelry and complains about it and plays with it in public places where it could get lost. he doesn't outright refuse to wear it but that's because i threatened to withhold sexual activity if he doesn't wear it, and the worst is i looove my rings and he couldn't care less if i wear mine!

I have worn my wedding band solo without my e-ring on a few occasions just for the heck of it - I LOVE it with my e-ring and alone - and DH has commented...where's your engagement ring???

i wore my wedding band alone most of the time. i have super skinny fingers and getting used to the ering was a pain in the a$$$$

am i weird that it doesnt really bother me? i dont think it bothers dh either, he hasnt said anything?

Becca, I feel you on this! DH can't wear his to work because he's an electrican and can lose a finger or worse. But EVERY time we go out, I grab his hand and check to see if he's wearing his ring. A little background, I told him not to get a ring because I knew he would't wear it but he insisted so now I make him wear it. It was $700!!!!! He NEEDS to wear it!

We were at the bar on Saturday for his mom's birthday ad I checked his hand. He didn't have it on and I asked where was it. He told me 'Starscream didn't want to give it up tonight' (he uses his transformer Starscream as a ring holder - told me he protects it when he's not wearing it ) So now! I'm charging him $1 for every time he doesn't wear his ring and we're out.

You know, I'd understand if DH was an electrician or a mechanic, etc, but he does accounting and works with computers. I can see not wanting to wear it when he takes apart computers, that's fine, but it's annoying when he doesn't wear it out. It he doesn't have to then I shouldn't either.
