I'm sure this is the dumbest question ever, but am I supposed to call my vendors AFTER my wedding?

Meaning my photographer and videographer and those people who may be working on something for me? OR do I just let them call me?

I know it's a dumb question, but I feel like I came back from my HM and have NOTHING to do regarding my wedding and that I should be doing something.

yOU CAN CALL & ASK WHEN YOUR PROOFS WILL BE DONE (caps-sorry)

Thanks! I don't know what the right thing is to do. I mean my contract does say 30 days, but now being married for almost 3 weeks and seeing everyone's proofs, I want them already! I just don't want to be annoying and I get screwed somehow!

I know my photographer called me and im pretty sure my videographer called me too. But if they havent, call them.

Unless you have already given it to thme, you probably have to give your videographer song selections so that is something to do.

So I guess I should just wait. I still have to give my HM pics to my videographer so I guess that's my fault. I guess if the contract says 30 days for my proofs I'll just wait! Thanks ladies!

Your questions are not silly. I called my photographer/video - pretty much as soon as I got back from my honeymoon to see when they would expect them in. I would call and just see what they expect - I rather be in the front of their mind than the back.

Other than those two that is all I called.

After my wedding I called my photographer an a@@hole....... oops you meant are you suppose to call them on the phone....

Anyway, I called my photographer, the girl tells me approx. 4 weeks, which I knew, I guess I was taking a shot, oh well...

My video will probably be done as soon as I get my HM pics to him

My photographer and videographer told me to call them when I got back from the HM.

As for the other vendors, I still didn't get my Thank Yous out to them!!!

And not to hijack the thread, but am I supposed to give a Thank You picture to ALL the vendors???

Lauren, I'd call to see if they need your HM pictures by a certain day? I have to give mine to my video w/in 40 days of my wedding date. Not sure what happens after the 40 days? I wonder if I was late, if they'd try to tell me I couldn't have them?? humm... I won't find out the hard way, but I guess I better get on that!

Kmcwed- I'm not getting picture thank yous at all.. So, everyone is getting the same thank you, vendors too. If I did have pictures, not sure if I'd send them to ALL the vendors

Karen, I did not send my vendors a picture. I know there are plenty of couples that do, and some places (like bridal salons) post the photos with cards for other customers to see. It's up to you, but I wouldn't 'waste' a photo on a vendor. JMO.
