I miss having my proofs

I had to hand them in so they can make our album. I didn't know they kept them til I get the album. Does every place do this? I like looking at them every now and again.

Sorry you are missing your proofs. We didnt have to turn ours in, but I hate mine, so I never look at them. the album shouldnt take too long, dont know who your photographer is, but ours only took a month once I approved the pictures. I do love my album though, so I look at that ALOT. Hope you get your pictures back soon!

We had to give in just the 50 we're using for the album. But of course, out of 700, they're our favorite 50!! I'm actually surprised DH just said he was kind of upset we had to hand them over for two months--he usually makes fun of me for looking at them over and over

I had to hand mine in. I was kind of glad- I was sick of all things wedding at that point. I love them, though.

OMG I didnt know you had to hand them in either!!! I wonder why? Dont they have a number on the back of the picture to match up with the negatives??? You would think that all you had to do was give them the number of the picture.

Mine had several pictures on one page in a few places. They laid out the proofs on the pages and left them in the book for the designer to work on. Actually I'd rather have the album done right than hold on to my proofs, so I guess two months without them is not going to kill me. DH is more upset than I am!!

They had #s on them but he took the whole book. There was a slip of paper next to each proof in the book and I marked which ones I wanted. The proofs were in an album. Oh well. When I get the album it will be better cause I can't look at the pictures til then.

Oh, I get it, they took ALL your proofs. Oh, I'm sorry. But just think you're album will be beautiful and then you'll ahve them all back!! It's only a few months.

I guess that's another reason to have table cameras!!

I had table cameras too. I just loved my proofs. The other pics will have to do for now.

Actually now that I think about it.. its probably better that they take the pictures so they can see exactly what you want and there is no confusion! Like 'oh I thought you wanted proof 135, not 155'

I didnt have to hand in anything.
Each picture has a # on the bottom, and I just had to write the #'s of the pics I wanted in my album.

I didn't have to give back my proofs, I just wrote down the numbers I wanted.

I've been missing my proofs as well. We had to hand in around 60 for our album & I really wish we had them because I finally found the perfect proof album(it holds 5 to page, 2 vertical, 3 horizontal) & I can't set it up w/ out all my proofs. Plus, neither of our parents have choosen their albums, so I'm assuming when they do, I'll have to hand in those proofs as well, ugh!

We used Duet also and we didn't have to hand in the photos for our parent albums because it's just one image per page and straight forward enough.
