I need a dessert recipe made of chocolatey goodness
I'm making 934083048 pies for thanksgiving but DH's family are all chocoholics so I need to make one insanely chocolatey dessert. Who has a recipe that they've already tried and loved?

Re: I need a dessert recipe made of chocolatey goodness
this is the EASIEST and most AMAZING choc-o-holic recipe ever...sounds WAY too simple to be true, but i swear if it's not a hit i'll give u a million dollars
Gooey Chocolate Cake/Brownie Dessert! Pre-heat oven to 350
You'll Need: 1 Box chocolate cake mix (dry..do not prepare according to directions on box) 1 stick of melted butter 1 egg
Mix above ingredients & press into 9x13 greased bake-pan & set aside.
Topping: You'll Need:
2eggs 8oz. bar softened cream cheese 1whole box confectionary sugar

Pour over pressed cake mixture...
Bake for about 30minutes(or untill top begins to get golden brown)...let cool & crackle(top with fall in a little & crackle..this is supposed to happen )
I'm telling you - you will be the HIT with this!

Re: I need a dessert recipe made of chocolatey goodness
my favorite is better than sex cake- its basically a box chocolate cake with yummy carmel syrup & heath- I'll go find the recipe.
DIRECTIONS Bake cake according to package directions for a 9x13 inch pan; cool on wire rack for 5 minutes. Make slits across the top of the cake, making sure not to go through to the bottom. In a saucepan over low heat, combine sweetened condensed milk and caramel topping, stirring until smooth and blended. Slowly pour the warm topping mixture over the top of the warm cake, letting it sink into the slits; then sprinkle the crushed chocolate toffee bars liberally across the entire cake while still warm. (Hint: I crush my candy bars into small chunks as opposed to crumbs - I like to have pieces I can chew on!) Let cake cool completely, then top with whipped topping. Decorate the top of the cake with some more chocolate toffee bar chunks and swirls of caramel topping. Refrigerate and serve right from the pan!

Re: I need a dessert recipe made of chocolatey goodness
I was going to post a Trifle Recipe too!! The one MIL makes is similar but she uses cake mix instead of brownie mix and crushed heath bars on top and in the middle which add a cool texture -its always a big hit!

Decadent Peanut Butter Pie

SMUCKER'S Hot Fudge and 2 Tbs. JIF Peanut Butter
Directions • In a medium bowl, beat together the JIF Peanut Butter, cream cheese and sugar. Gently fold in 3 cups whipped topping. Spoon mixture into the pie shell. Using a spatula, smooth mixture to edges of pie.
• Reserving 2 tablespoons of SMUCKER'S Hot Fudge, place remaining SMUCKER'S Hot Fudge into microwave safe bowl or glass measuring cup. Microwave for 1 minute. Stir. Re: I need a dessert recipe made of chocolatey goodness
Chocolate Covered Strawberries
'This is the simplest version of chocolate covered strawberries I know. Paraffin was originally used instead of shortening. Turn the strawberries upside down and insert by the toothpicks into a piece of styrofoam for easy cooling, or simply place them on a sheet of wax paper. White chocolate may be drizzled over the milk chocolate for a fancier look.
PREP TIME 15 Min READY IN 15 Min Original recipe yield 3 cups
DIRECTIONS Insert toothpicks into the tops of the strawberries. In a double boiler, melt the chocolate and shortening, stirring occasionally until smooth. Holding them by the toothpicks, dip the strawberries into the chocolate mixture. Turn the strawberries upside down and insert the toothpick into styrofoam for the chocolate to cool.
DIRECTIONS On a cookie sheet place 15 chocolate wafers flat side up. Working quickly, top each wafer with a small scoop of ice cream. Top each sandwich with another wafer, flat side down. Gently push the top wafers down until the ice cream comes to the edge of the wafer cookies. Freeze for one hour, or until firm. Roll each ice cream sandwich in mini chocolates chips so that all the exposed ice cream is covered. Cover and freeze until ready to serve.

Mocha Walnut Pie
'A pie with a rich mocha flavor. Serve warm or chilled, topped with whipped cream. Refrigerate leftovers.'
INGREDIENTS (Nutrition) 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie 2 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate 1/4 cup butter 1 tablespoon instant coffee powder 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk 2 eggs, beaten 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup walnuts
DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). In medium saucepan, melt chocolate and butter or margarine over low heat. Dissolve coffee in 1/4 cup hot water, then stir it into saucepan with sweetened condensed milk, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well. Pour filling into pastry shell. Top with walnuts. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until center is set. Cool.
1/4 cup chocolate-hazelnut spread (recommended: Nutella)
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons milk chocolate chips
2 tablespoons white chocolate chips
2 tablespoons chopped hazelnuts, toasted
Position the oven rack on the bottom of the oven and preheat to 450 degrees F.
Line a heavy large baking sheet with parchment paper. Roll out the dough to a 9-inch-diameter round. Transfer the dough to the prepared baking sheet. Using your fingers, make indentations all over the dough. Brush the dough with butter, then bake until the crust is crisp and pale golden brown, about 20 minutes. Immediately spread the chocolate-hazelnut spread over the pizza then sprinkle all the chocolate chips over. Bake just until the chocolate begins to melt, about 1 minute. Sprinkle the hazelnuts over the pizza. Cut into wedges and serve.
Ingredients Pizza Dough: 1/2 cup warm water (105 to 110 degrees F)
2 teaspoons active dry yeast
2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for kneading
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons olive oil, plus more for bowl
Mix the warm water and yeast in a small bowl to blend. Let stand until the yeast dissolves, about 5 minutes. Mix the flour and salt in a food processor to blend. Blend in the oil. With the machine running, add the yeast mixture and blend just until the dough forms. Turn the dough out onto lightly floured surface and knead until smooth, about 1 minute. Transfer the dough to a large oiled bowl and turn the dough to coat with the oil. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and set aside in a warm draft-free area until the dough doubles in volume, about 1 hour. Punch the down dough and form into ball. The dough can be used immediately or stored airtight in the refrigerator for 1 day.
