I need album help!

I feel like I am never going to get this done!

So does anyone have any tips to share? There just sooo many pictures to choose from. Did you make a list of shots that must go in the album? A list of people? How did you narrow them down? And how long did it take you?

Any advice is appreciated!

we went through and put the pictures in order of the events of that day - we wanted the album ot be chronological.
then we took out all of the best pictures of each of those events....and then put the album together from there.
we had a good idea of what we wanted, and then our photographer came over, sat down with us, and helped us make it perfect. he gave us some ideas that we hadn't even thought of.....and the album came out beautifully

we flipped through the proofs and pulled out the ones we thought 'had' to be in.....since we had 2 piles, we ended up with similar shots (DH & I) so we would then compare the similar shots and pick on.

For instance, we had 2 shots of our FG...one single and one with 2 other little girls.....we picked the one with the 3 of them (it's in our panoramic shot)

We picked 2 first dance shots I think...etc.

Did you limit yourself to a certain amount of BP or group shots?

I feel like I'm 'obligated' to put in certain shots... I know I'm not but for example did you put in:

a full BP shot
all the BMs w/the Groom
all the GMs w/the bride
the goofy shot of all the BMs w/the groom
the goofy shot of all the GMs w/the bride

we only put in the pictures that came out well....so even if we thought we 'should' have certain pictures, but we weren't thrilled with how they came out, they didn't go in.
example: the bridal party walking into the reception....one picture of a bridesmaid walking in was a little odd, so we decided instead of doing the entire bridal party, just to do the maid of honor and best man.

we did try to get as many people included as we could though, and we tried to make sure each family member was represented

you and DH should go through your proofs seperately and write down which pics you love... and then you can put the pics you both loved into the album definately...

I bascially picked them out, but its not final yet.

We did 1 pic each of bride and BM's and groom and GM's.

We have 2 or 3 with the whole bridal party, then 2 of us and the MOH and BM.

Then I did, 1 with my mom, 1 with my dad, and then b/c I have a bigger immediate family then DH, I did one with my whole family.

For his family I did us with just his parents, then one with his parents, us, and SIL and BIL.
