I never ask - update #2
I tend to keep this kind of stuff to myself but this time its really thrown me for a loop.
But I need prayers....My dad had a massive heart attack earlier today that was caused by a blood clot. He has heart issues but never this bad and my parents are in FL so its hard for me beign so far away.
He is stable and in Cardiac ICU and they said he will be fine with a change in meds but I'm still very worried.

Thanks for all the prayers.....he got moved to a cardiac recovery unit where he is one of 2 patients so he is getting plenty of attention from the nurses. They said because he was transported to the the hospital so quickly and the 911 operator told my mom to give him aspirin there was virtually no damage to his heart. The Dr. said even though he was on plavix to prevent the clots one of his other meds actually causes them so they switched his meds around and my mom says he is doing much better.
Now I just have to decide if I was to take a last minute trip to FL to visit.
#2 - Dad will probably be out of the hospital on Tuesday which is very good news. They think that the Nexium he was on might have caused it. The bad part is that they initially thought he didnt have damage to his heart and now they are saying there is quite a bit.....they did say that the damage can decrease over time. I am going to try to fly down this week but because it is a holiday week is it very expensive and not many open seats.
