I really cant stand it...

When you offer out help to someone via FM and they dont say thank you. Normally, if someone ask a little question I dont care...but if you go out of your way to ask me something that is privy to me...say THANK YOU or kiss my rump...some B2B and NWs are just soooo rude and should be beaten with a spoon

hahah....how about beaten by a NW??? I think sometimes it's just really really hard to click reply & type 'Thank you'...hahaha...sorry you're not being appreciated!

Oh you KNOW I have complained about this before. Or...try people asking you to do things for them for free(who dontknow you from a hall in the wall) and yet cannot even sign their names to their FM's or introduce themselves. I am always willing to help people out and how many little projects haven't I done free of charge (cue LOTS), but if we don't know one another at all, PLEASE introduce yourself before making demands and trying to get over on me, and if I help you, say THANK YOU!

this is a huge pet peeve on here for me, But what goes around comes around. And we all 'talk' so everyone eventually finds out who they are, and hopefully keeps that in the back of their heads when these people continue to need advice and help

There is one '08er that is not getting any help from me anymore. Never says thank you and asks for tons of help and ideas.

I think we need to draft 'Etiquette Rules of the Boards'

1. Say thank you.
2. Spell correctly.
3. Use correct grammar
4.. Don't type in all caps
5. Posts are opinions. If it is not yours, don't respond.

I mean if you are a regular poster you should already be aware of this...if you dont post as often I can see yo u kind of forgetting but its normal etiquette and should be automatic...even if the information given is uselss you should still say thank you b/c someone took the time out to give you that info...

It is nice to get a thank you as an acknowledgement for the time and effort we put in to the reply I agree with you on that. Most of the time though I don't really give it a second thought.

It's an online community so it's not as formal as everyday life. I know on here I have a few FM's I have to reply to but It's been a busy few weeks and sometime IRL I am a bit slower getting the thank yous out than I would like to be. Your good deeds don't go unnoticed though.
