omgggggggggggg how cute!!!!!

I am dying for a small dong...I asked DH for a dachsund for xmas...we have a chocolate lab that i LOVE but i always wanted to get a small dog too, plus Buster needs a friend!!!

yeah lets see, the whole thing is moving into an apartment that allows dogs so i am hoping. But if we can then yeah definitely getting a dog

it's a maltese. Which is one of the few dogs we can actually have. DH is allergic to cats and most dogs, theres some he is completely find with. What they categorize as hypo-allergenic dogs which basically means just the type of hair they have. So we can have a maltese, poodle, shihtzu too i believe, havanese. Other dogs we cant bc we either know for a fact he is allergic or won't take the chance. Maltese have human like hair so thats why he is fine around them

oh yeah a guy i work with has a portugese water dog???? because he has allergies and it is the only kind of dog with hair he can be around...it's a miniature maltese right? My first dog was a maltese, he was a terror, Rocky, he totally lived up to his name!

oh interesting, i never heard of that type of dog. Good to know theres others, well there are a few more than the ones i mentioned too.

Yeah they're teacup maltese puppies. HAHAHA my mom's best friend has a maltese and he is also a bit crazy but i love him.

My DH sent me a text the other day of a kitten he saw on the job. I haven't been ready for another cat, and we have our hands full with two dogs right now, but she was sooo cute, I was like 'awww'. He thought she was really cute but said the same thing...not really a good time. So yesterday morning, I forward him the picture and said 'Good morning, Daddy'....he was like 'funny'. Aw, how can Joe resist that little face! Maybe for Christmas with a big...oh, little red bow!

he actually does want a dog too. BUt the only problem is being able to have a dog at wherever we move to lol. I try looking at apartments that allow pets but then some i really like but say no pets so its hard.

Awwww i used to always have cats, i miss having one . It's sad but I'll never have a cat again bc dh is so allergic to cats its horrible.

Sorry to crash but I have a maltese too and his name is Rocky and he's a terror as well!! Must be something about maltese's named Rocky.


Although Denise looking at your pictures I would want another one in a heartbeat!

Yes, I remember you said about his allergies. That's definitely something to keep in mind...it would be more heartbreaking to end up somewhere that won't allow pets and have to give the dog up.

I've always had cats too. But, after my last cat died several years ago I was devastated and couldn't even think about getting another. This kitten just pulled on my heartstrings. Funny thing is, my DH isn't reallly a big cat lover and he seemed to really have a soft spot for her. I told him, why did you send me the picture...you know how I am with that. His allergies to cats are that bad? My sister had a cat that really bothered me...if I held her I would immediately get all congested and watery eyes, which is strange because I've never been that way with any other.

I'd like a drink...

I would just like 1 period they are such sweet dogs, i know alot of ppl who have maltese dogs and they are sweet, sometimes a bit crazy but i see it more as fun and loving

when we were in roosevelt field mall we stopped to look at the puppies but just to look since i love dogs. DH was so tempted so thats a good sign, he saw one he loved and kept looking at it and wanted it. Although, when i get a puppy I want it from a breeder. We also want to go to northshore and see what dogs they have. I would get a puppy from a shelter in a heartbeat but the problem is not knowing all the info about the dog. I went there with my MOH when she was looking for a puppy and we would ask what breed it was and they always said well we know its this but not sure what else its mixed it, with dh's allergies i cant take that chance ya know. Otherwise I would love to. The worst part is that the day we went to look at puppies at the pet store, i said we should go after to northshore and see if they have any pure bred puppies. We had to get back to queens though bc we had plans so dh said another time. Then a few days later i find out that northshore had hundreds of pure bred puppies that day that i wanted to go, they came from virginia i think. You might remember but it was when all those puppies were saved from a puppy mill and given to different shelters throughout the country and northshore got a large amount of them. I told Dh and he said 'why didnt i tell him he would've gone' but it was too late

yeah his allergies to cats are REAL bad. Even if the cat is not near him but lets say he goes to somebodies house with cats then yes it will still bother him. One time we got so upset bc we went out to eat, and i saw that the restaurant had a cat they kept in the back and it just ran by us but it never came near dh. By the time our main course came i felt SOOO horrible bc he couldn't even really eat. His eyes were so bloodshot and watery, he could barely even open his eyes. His throat was bothering him alot and he couldn't stop sneezing.
