the holidays are right around the corner, it's quite possible you will get one..what kind of dog is that?
yeah lets see, the whole thing is moving into an apartment that allows dogs so i am hoping. But if we can then yeah definitely getting a dog
it's a maltese. Which is one of the few dogs we can actually have. DH is allergic to cats and most dogs, theres some he is completely find with. What they categorize as hypo-allergenic dogs which basically means just the type of hair they have. So we can have a maltese, poodle, shihtzu too i believe, havanese. Other dogs we cant bc we either know for a fact he is allergic or won't take the chance. Maltese have human like hair so thats why he is fine around them
Denise= you can also get a yorkie, like my little Bella! She's hypoallergenic too!
[ he actually does want a dog too. BUt the only problem is being able to have a dog at wherever we move to lol. I try looking at apartments that allow pets but then some i really like but say no pets so its hard.
Awwww i used to always have cats, i miss having one . It's sad but I'll never have a cat again bc dh is so allergic to cats its horrible.
Yes, I remember you said about his allergies. That's definitely something to keep in mind...it would be more heartbreaking to end up somewhere that won't allow pets and have to give the dog up.
I've always had cats too. But, after my last cat died several years ago I was devastated and couldn't even think about getting another. This kitten just pulled on my heartstrings. Funny thing is, my DH isn't reallly a big cat lover and he seemed to really have a soft spot for her. I told him, why did you send me the picture...you know how I am with that. His allergies to cats are that bad? My sister had a cat that really bothered me...if I held her I would immediately get all congested and watery eyes, which is strange because I've never been that way with any other.
yeah his allergies to cats are REAL bad. Even if the cat is not near him but lets say he goes to somebodies house with cats then yes it will still bother him. One time we got so upset bc we went out to eat, and i saw that the restaurant had a cat they kept in the back and it just ran by us but it never came near dh. By the time our main course came i felt SOOO horrible bc he couldn't even really eat. His eyes were so bloodshot and watery, he could barely even open his eyes. His throat was bothering him alot and he couldn't stop sneezing.
Aw, he's really bad then!
yeah but thats also why I'll never forget what he did when we started dating. There was a stray kitten on his block and I wanted to get her bc I saw her a few times by herself all the time and wanted to take it home bc i felt so bad for the kitten. So i tried to catch the kitten but she kept going in everyones front yard and they have a fence to get in so it was hard. He stayed with me HOURS trying to catch the kitten. And he would be the one chasing it most of the time since he runs faster. He kept saying 'why am i doing this, i am so allergic' i said once he catches it ill just take it quickly from him. Unfortunately we never caught it she did go under the hood of a car and we seriously sat by the car in front of his house for such a long time trying to get her when she comes out. It was so funny bc dh was laying on the ground meowing to get her out looking at him doing that i started histerically laughing and then he realized 'W** am i doing what if someone sees me' but he really tried to get the kitten for me. After hours of trying i went home since it was late. And he called me while i was driving home and said he left milk out by the car for the kitten.
I think thats when I thought 'awwww he really does like me'

Bella is a TRUE yorkie..she's stubborn, independent and very playful. She's only 4 months, so it's a bit early to tell if she'll be difficult to train. We 'weewee pad' trained her within 2 weeks..that was pretty easy. Not training her to go outside. She plays fetch, but sometime forgets to let go when she brings it back. she's a handful, but too cute and cuddly to get annoyed. I am in absolute LOVE with her. she's sooo friendly and amazing with kids!

yeah that was a big day in our relationship. Of course now he thinks he is funny so when I bring it up and say awwww how sweet he was, he has to give a dumb answer. A little TMI but we hadn't slept together yet when he did that so he always says 'damn what i did to try and get some P****, maybe i thought catching the p**** would get me some'

Well, techinically, there are no teacup yorkies. They are known as a 'toy breed' because they typically are between 3 & 9 lbs. Bella is on the smaller side.

My cousins have a 5 year old maltese that they've had since she was a puppy. they also have an 8 month old daughter...the dog has been growling at the baby and acting out A LOT. From what i hear, this is common with maltese. Bella has been around their daughter and lots of other babies and toddlers and has never done anything other than sniff them.

Ohh, interesting. A friend of mine had one and she said it was a pedigree 'teacup' Yorkie. ETA: I hope that didn't sound like I don't believe you...I just didn't know that.

I know, I kept saying I wanted a teacup yorkie and the store we got her at said there is no such thing.I did my research and they are right!
What your friend probably meant was that both of the yorkies parents were tiny, so she was pedigreed to be tiny too. That's the deal with Bella.
