If anyone wants a nice place to go for vacation or just a weekend...

We had the best time!
We stayed at a quaint, cozy bed & breakfast that was so wonderful! (I'll post pics tomorrow).
There so much to do there, so many shops, restaurants and cute boutiques.
We only got to stay a day & a half, (went there with DH for work) but we will definately be going back!
I highly recommend it!

Maybe we'll have to go check it out too sometime. Its always nice to go away for a day or two.

We love Newport! My SIL's family lives up there, so we are up there often for family parties, weddings, etc.
We usually end up in one of the bigger hotels, since there's usually lots of family visiting with us. For our last trip, we stayed at the Viking...my new favorite. I'd love to try a B n B next time.

Christy it was like a 3 hr drive. so worth it.
there are so many hotels & bed & breakfasts there.

We spent the last part of our HM in Newport. It really is a nice place for a long weekend. Did you do any of the Mansion tours??
Your B&B looked SO nice. Glad you had a good time! I really love the OLD houses that are in the little village. They look like they just popped up on the street from a time warp or something. I expect people to come out of them dressed in clothes from the 1700s. I simply adore historical places.
Did you eat in Bowen's on the warf? They are expensive but have great food.

Our time there was too short, we were on business, so no mansion tours, but next time we will do Cliff Walk, did you do the walk?
We ate at Scales & Shells, a delicious & awesome seafood restaurant on Thames St. Was sooo good!
I took some pics of the streets & houses. They are awesome. I'll post later.
