you on a gift, do you still send a TY. Let's discuss! And if so what do you say on the card?

even though we know we got stiffed.. we are sending everyone a thank you.. sometimes there are reasons for it... but either way... a thank you is always the right thing..

Definitely sending a TY to everyone. For those who didn't give a gift I will thank them for coming and sharing our special day with us. I have a few choice words for a couple of them but I will keep those to myself.

We really will send them a card that just says 'Thank you for sharing our special day'. They technically have up to a year to send a gift and bottom line is that we don't really know anyone's personal financial status (even though we may think we do) so who knows why they came without giving a gift.

two ppl didn't give us a gift....not even a card. We didn't send them anything. I feel that since they didn't even get us a card....they don't give a sh*t about us - therefore - no TY card b/c now, we don't give a sh*t about them

That's great - all you need to do is add the part about do you know how much we spent to feed you?!

We will be sending a card to everyone and thank those for coming even if they didn't bring us a gift (which several did, both family members and friends). DH thinks the note will shame them into sending something! But we really dont' know what people's financial situation is, so we can't and shouldn't judge.

Oh great idea! Actually, maybe I'll include an invoice. Something like:

Thank you for coming and not bringing a gift, or even a card. As such, please remit the payment of $___ to cover the costs of both of your meals.

we sent ty cards to everyone, if we didn;t get a gift i waited a while, cause the 2 people who didn't give a gift, are so not like that.. one was a co-worker and said she forgot it at home and will mail it, we got it like 1.5 month later, before the ty went out, and then our cosin, who told us she was giving us a large check the same as what she gives her sisters.. and she didnt give us anything so we sent them a ty and were at their house a few weeks later and she handed us the check and told us how she grabbed the wrong card to put it into.. whatever but their ty had already gone out that just thanked them for coming and being apart of our bridal party.
