If we did not have the same people going to both weddings then I would be fine with it. I would take it as a compliment.

It is my SIL!!!

and it has not been everyone, but he wanted to use our DJ but decided they were too expensive, she chose one of the BM dresses that i ahd picked, and now she wants to use my reverned. I am fine with everything esle but not the reverend. THat was a unique part of my wedding, and my mom things i am being crazy to tell her, I would rather her use someone else.

Yes I would, but as long as I got to use them first! I would be happy knowing that they liked mine so much they are using them!

ALL of them I think would be a bit much, seems to me your SIL is a bit lazy and doesn't want to do her own research. Take it as a compliment, your wedding was FIRST!

Someone did this to me. Had a carbon copy of my wedding 3 months later...to the date! I'm talking down to the officient, EVERYTHING. Even when we got the thank you cards, they looked just like ours!

I was kind of flattered, but it was hampered by her telling me that she 'learned' from my mistakes. What she doesn't realize is that she made plenty of her own.

ETA: The officient she used that we also used, is a very funny man. She told him he wasn't allowed to be funny at all, and her ceremony wound up being a very uncomfortable 30 minutes of him reading verbatim her story about how they met, fell in love, how he proposed when they woke up one morning together..uch it was so weird. LOL.

I wish i could be flattered, but I am annoyed. From the day we got engaged, we started hearing about how she was getting engaged, and how she would wait til we got marreid, to plan hers, but we heard this all the time she didn't want to step on our toes.

Then she backs out of ours, and then asks us to be in hers, ummm hello, can we say strange. Then she wants to redo our wedding, 4 days after our wedding date.

I don't think I would mind at all (but it hasn't happened so I can't say for sure) My DHs best friend (and BM) got married in December (DH was the BM) and I encouraged them to use the same vendors. They only used our DJ.

I must say though I would only NOT MIND if I used them FIRST, if they used them before me I wouldn't be happy.

I wouldnt care since my wedding has already happened. Plus, even with the exact same vendors, the wedding will probably not be all the similiar anyway.

I would be totally fine with it.. Infact we stole our vendors from a lot of our friends.. photo/video my brother used, florist & DJ close friend used, Deacon & Rabbi almost everyone in our town my age used, wedding hall that a friend used.
You should be flattered that she thinks you have good taste!

I would be very flattered, that means they admire my taste and the choices I made must have been good, if they would like to do the same. By all means please do

Wouldn't bother me one bit - My brother and I got married two months apart (he was 2 months before me) and we used a lot of the same vendors. I think the priest/reverend/minister would be really cool to say both you and a family member were married by the same person. I used the same person who sang at my mom's wedding!

I don't think I would mind. I think it just makes her look lazy that she could not do her own research to find her vendors.

I wouldn't care one bit.
In fact, this is happening w/ one of our best friends. I encourage them to use our vendors. They're not using the same church/priest. However, if the groom gets his way, they would. He was great!!!!

DH cousin is also getting married this October in Florida. She just called me to ask if I minded that she's using my colors and my ideas? I don't care one bit! & that's w/in the same family.

My wedding was 5 months ago, so to me it is like old news now.

We have two weddings to go to this year so far, and the couples have commented on how much they loved our wedding.

They loved our intro song, our table names, our DJ. To be honest I do not care if they try to replicate. Knowing these people they will try to out do us anyway- but I could care less, I am married now and tha is all that matters to me know, the wedding was ONE day.

Personally, I wouldn't care. I am encouraging my brother to use the vendors that I was pleased with. I would LOVE it if he used my hall, but they booked Jericho Terrace.

I personally wouldn't care, but it's obviously bothering you.

Just tell her no and give her the names & numbers of other officiants she can use.

Let her be the angry one. Better she waste her time and energy being mad then you.

but considering the realtionship that you have with your SIL...i can see why you are upset...



Michelle's SIL has a habit of insulting the way Michelle does things...yet she is copying everything...
