Re: If you could do it over again.....
ALOT....I really would...not that I regret my day, but I think I would have:cut back on my BM and had 2 guys for every girl
changed my flowers slightly
different veil...DEFINITELY
demanded more shots...I gave them a list and even e-mailed them photos from here that I LOVED and didn't get them
done more research to save $$

Re: If you could do it over again.....
I definitely would not have hired my florist. And I would have told the bandleader myself that no one was to get the microphone besides the best man. (BIL decided to sing us a song - and he is not a singer. Lovely.) I also would have told the bandleader that I was not tossing the bouquet. I told their manager, but apparently there is no communication there. These things were minor, though. The day was still wonderful.

Re: If you could do it over again.....
would have used a different rabbi! ours was horrible. thats the only thing that I definitely would have changed. My uncle saved the ceremony! (he was the minister).thats the only big thing that sticks out in my mind after these 4 months. Anything else that seemed like a booboo or whatever has become so unimportant and trivial.

Hacked that bridal party down to less than half! Not had my sister in law in the bridal party
Picked somewhere else to do my hair/makeup
Not made myself crazy over the details that no one cared about except myself.

Ditto. This statement says it all for me. I got myself crazy and actually physically ill before the wedding due to stress. And as many times as people told me NOT to, I was a basket case leading up to it. I truly wish I would have enjoyed planning and the engagement more.
The only other thing - even though we had a small wedding (<100), I would have cut out even MORE people that I truly didn't want there.
But otherwise, just about everything else in regards to my wedding went great and I wouldn't change a lot.. Given the fact we planned in a relatively short amount of time (7 months) everything went remarkably smoothly in the end.

Re: If you could do it over again.....
The 20 person exscursion was a waste, it was an inferno, the air could not cool down the entire thing so we were sweatyStayed in the limo outside church until everyone was inside(limo guy rushed me out)
Went somewhere different for alterations, did not know the dress did not fit until the day of.

Re: If you could do it over again.....
the only thing that really bothers me is that i didn't get as many pictures as i wanted and too many were posed and posed in the same spot at that. i know we were limited b/c of the rain (i would have changed that too!) but i feel like he didn't make an effort to vary the pics. looking back i probably would have stayed with the same company but done the photojournalist approach with some posed pics thrown in. the only thing that keeps me from getting really upset about it is that i got some fabulous candid shots from the table cameras.

Re: If you could do it over again.....
1. Moved the date to the following Friday, we booked the hall really early, and when we went to book the church, they only had 3:30 or 6:30pm, we chose the 3:30, b/c I didn't want to leave my house in the dark, should have tried to move the date to get the 5pm church the following Friday. Alot of people missed the church b/c of work and we wound up having way too much time b/w the church and reception.....5pm would have been perfect.2. Hired a videographer
3. Hired a photojouralist
Thats it.....everything else worked out perfectly (aside from me getting sick at the reception......ah well!!

Veil! It was awful - I had a fingertip and a cathedrial and it just looked awful from behind. Other than that everything was like a fairytale!

I would have used a different limo company and I would have looked around, done more research and gotten a better photographer!! I also would have started saving money sooner!!

Re: If you could do it over again.....
I wish I had given myself more time to *bargain shop* for what I had, and to save more $$ for the thigns I wanted but couldn't afford...like I found out that Commack Wedding Center had my dress for $600 less that what I paid for it.I definately would not have used my bridal shop
or the company we used for our bridal limo
I also would have reduced the size of my BP....9 girls was just too much.

Re: If you could do it over again.....
MOre pics, different combinations, I missed a few that I really would've liked to have hadI wish I wuold've gotten my dress online. Even though I didn't pay for it (it was a gift from my grandmother) I still kills me that I could have gotten it for about $300 cheaper.
I would've ordered more rose petals for the tables.
I would've liked to have taken pics outside. Also, I would've liked a pic of EVERYONE outside the church. It's very old fashioned, but I love it.

Re: If you could do it over again.....
Told the preist to HURRY UP!!! The church ran long - I mean 1 hour and 40 minutes long!We took pictures before the ceremony so that we could enjoy the CH and couldn't because Paul and I had to finish up pics. I was so disappointed.
I wouldn't have made myself and everyone near and dear to me crazy because I was so worried about details.
I wouldn't have tried to say hello to 300 people! LOL!!!
Otherwise, it was the best day of my life!!

Re: If you could do it over again.....
1 - take my time walking down the aisle
2 - spend more time chatting w/ guests (was on dance floor all night)
other than that, everything (IMO) was PERFECT.
