Re: BUMP

Not Much everything went very well and our vendors were wonderful.

1. Circulated more during the CT Hr.

2. Taken home 2 extra dinners so DH and I could enjoy them the next day.

3. Would have taken off my veil during the reception

4. Checked my lipstick, blotted my face

5. Spent more one on one time with everyone

6. Changed our last dance from Wonderful World to something else due to the fact that we were married on 9/14/01

Would have taken more time to freshen up my makeup, and fix my bustle after it fell from my crazy night of dancing. But I was having too much fun to worry about how I looked.

I would change our ceremony site, our priest from Pysbertian to Roman Catholic, and from a civil wedding ceremony to a wedding mass. Other than that our wedding went smoothly as planned and hoped for. It was the happiest day of my life.

I would change the invitation time from 7:30 to 8:00 and had the ceremony start at 8:30 instead of 8:00. We didn't have enough time to take all the pics before the ceremony so we ended up missing most of our cocktail hour, which was really disappointing.

Other than that, I'm really happy with all the other choices we made.

I would have safe guarded my bouquet. I put it down and had no idea where it was at the end of the night. I'm convinced someone stole it.

I would have spent less on invitations.

I would have cut out that hour of 'posed' pictures that I put in just to appease my mother. Compared to the rest of our pics, we all look so stiff and I missed 1/ hour of my cocktail hour for a bunch of pics that I don't want in my album anyway.

Other than that, it was pretty much perfect.

I don't think I'd do a thing different.

DH & I ate a wonderful meal together, we were able to visit all of our guests, we had a great band, our photographer did an awesome job (I promise I'll do some scanning tomorrow morning), and it was like a fairytale.

Re: BUMP

Overall our day was marvelous. A few things I would change though.

1. I would have had video. We decided not to because of cost and that was a big mistake. In the grand scheme of things it would not have added all that much to what we were spending. My pictures are marvelous but you see so much more in video.

2. I would have insisted on an additional fitting for my dress before taking it 2 days before the wedding. When I went for my final fitting my dress was not hemmed. I was assured that it would be properly done...but it wasn't. The inner lining of the dress was hanging down more than 1/2 inch below the rest of the dress and I tripped over it repeatedly. It ended up ripping, but by then it was near the end of the reception so I just left it.

3. This is probably my biggest regret. I had wanted to take the microphone after the BM toast to publicly thank my 2 fantastic children for their encouragement and support and to say a few sweet things about my new DH. I didn't do it because I was afraid that I would get too emotional and more because I concerned that our guests might think it wasn't the time and place. What was I thinking? After all it was MY wedding day.DUH! . I should have done it and not worried about it at all.

That's it though. Again it was a terrific day and these were things that would have made it that much better.

Re: BUMP

I would have:

-had a smaller wedding for people who truely love and supported us
-married in a church
-different photographer
-attend cocktail hour
-relaxed and enjoy the day even more
-smaller bridal party

Re: BUMP

Overall, we were both very happy with our whole day. It really went smoothly, and there were no mishaps at all.

I would have maybe tried to get married on a Saturday instead of Sunday just because we were a little pressed for time with pictures. But only for pictures, otherwise, getting married on Sunday worked out beautifully!

The only other thing I might have done differently was to book a different photographer/video people. While we are both happy with the quality of the photos, and they did come out wonderful, but after seeing some other people's proofs, I would have maybe added a photojournalist or something. And again, the quality of our video is great, but the editing is not what I expected it to be.
