What would your 'theme' be?

My entire wedding was very traditional and I wouldn't change a thing really. But if I could have a second wedding I think I would do a Princess Bride-like Rennaissance kind of theme. I would've loved to have had an empire waist dress, flowers in my hair type wedding

If I could do it all over again, I would really embrace the Victorian feeling of Westbury Manor. I would love to do it up really Victorian and have a 'riding jacket' style jacket made to wear over my gown and wear a little hat with a veil and little button up boots and come in a horse-drawn carriage and have lots of pink, peach and ivory flowers and have a string quartet.

i do the whole sandy beach-no shoes-small wedding and have carribean food and music.

hi there - we did the whole renaissance gown thing with a halloween twist - me if i had to do it again - it would be destination wedding 100%
someplace exotic and only invite like 20 people

I would not change a thing. I really loved the way it turned out. I was amazed to see all my visions unfold exactly as I envisioned.

It's not what woudl you change about your wedding...the question is what would you do if you could have a second wedding...

Thank you I did understand question and my answer in short is I wouldn't want a second wedding I loved every minute of our wedding so there is no need to do it again.

Me too I agree. I love parties but don't want to do the whole wedding thing again. It was what I wanted.

a castle is france, just 30 people. everything by candlelight. No DJ, just ceremony then a long grand dinner.

I like this thread because I like themes. If I had planned my wedding in the fall, I would have gone with a formal Halloween theme and handed out ornate masks as the party favors to make the party a bit like a masquerade ball.

However, my true dream would be a destination wedding to Bermuda on a cruise ship with lots of family and friends. We'd arrive by cruise ship and marry on Bermuda at the Fairmont Hotel's terrace overlooking Hamilton Harbor. The theme would be a nautical with hints of Bermuda style. When we first got engaged, this is what we started looking into, but then the logistics and costs for guests got in the way.

This sounds cute. I originally wanted to get married on the beach barefoot with just mine and DH's immediate family and friends.

I would get married on an island somewhere and I would wear the most perfect lace, mermaid style dress I spotted on Vera Wang's website with my hair in lose curls with just mabye a broach holding it back.

ETA: With just my closest family and friends and we would all drink, eat and dance our butts off until the sun came up.

And maybe I'd wear a straighter gown to go with the 'new' venue...but I LOVED my gown!

Funny you should say that fellow Watermill bride! I would have loved to do it at one of the wineries but I wanted to get married at my church and it would have been too far of a drive. Oh well, our day was perfect either way!
