Just thought I'd let you know that Mohonk is gorgeous. I've been there a few times with my family at Thanksgiving. Loved it!

We went there for our mini-honeymoon (cant take the real one till Dec.) and it was amazing. The place was beautiful and the food was great. We defintley plan on going back.

My hubby and I gave my parents a GC for a weekend there for their anniversary. We normally wouldn't be so extravagant, but that was our special 'thank you' to them for allowing us to live with them and babysit while we house hunted last year!

my sister went to SUNY New Paltz (right next to it) so when I visited we would go hiking around there...

she went there on her mini HM too...

DH and I would have, but there is a dress code for dinner and DH is a IT guy...and not used to that...

Beautiful place. I was just there a couple of weekends ago. We did not stay at the lodge, since we need to save money, but it also fun to hike all of the trails. My husband also went to SUNY New Paltz, so he likes to go back to check out his old college town.

Shamma - no problem honey, I'm sure you and Roger will enjoy yourselves.

My hubby loved it as well, but when I showed him the price per night he was like - WHOA! However he said a weekend won't hurt

I need to revitalize my mind, body and spirit! I could do a month in a place like that!

It doesn't hurt to go for a day first and see what it's like. That way later on you can go back and spend time. Maybe you can make reservations from now for next year.

The Inn at the Falls is also beautiful! Try their website www.theinnatthefalls.com Their rooms are amazing!
