If you were unhappy with a vendors performance....

If you were unhappy with a vendors performance....

but the wedding is over and they have already been paid, is it worth it to complain??

One vendor, requesting and receiving written information about what I expected, totally disregarded what I wanted. I should have complained at the wedding, but I let other people persuade me that since everyone was having fun, not to say anything.

My question is, should I contact this vendor NOW, or just let it go? They didnt do a BAD job, they just didnt follow the list that THEY ASKED ME FOR. Is it worth it for me to contact them now or should I just drop it?

ps- they didnt get a tip

If it'll make you feel better to say something, then yes.

I had an issue with my cake. I worked with my hall extensively to get it right and they stil totally F'd it up. The day was over, they got paid, and I still ended up with an unprofessional looking cake in my pictures. You better believe I wrote them a long azz letter complaining. Nothing came of it, I never heard back from them, no offer to make things better (they have their money, why would they??), nothing. But it made me feel a little better that at least I said something.

I wrote one of my vendors an email - I told them that they could do whatever they want with this information. They did nothing - I never heard anything back and I didnt expect to. At least I got my point across - it made me feel better.

I wrote about it in my 'bride's review.' It became obvoius during planning that at least one of my vendors read my posts, so I hope they read my review, too.

Absolutely. I was extremely dissapointed in one of my ceremony musicians. He was paid in full before the wedding. I called him after the wedding, the owner tried to give me 50% back, and I fought for a full refund and I am very happy that I did. I would pursue it, because even though he gave me my $$ back, Im still extrmemely upset with the vendor.

I had only one big problem with one vendor. I told them how they screwed up and they didn't give a flying f... In the long run I didn't feel better because they didn't care, but 'word of mouth' is a very strong thing. I think I have deterred at least a dozen people from using them.

Definitely complain.
I had issues with my hall and my DJ both of which got resolved. You can't change what happened but you deserve some compensation for a poor performance on their part.

There were certain things that I think I should have complained about - IE, my cake being NOTHING like the picture we gave them, but I just never got around to it. I figured it wouldn't do any good, but maybe I would have felt a little better. Who knows, but I guess I was just to lazy to bother.
