I'm back from the Dr.

So I'm back with news I was totally not expecting. The Dr. said I have a partially collapsed lung he doesn't know why. He also saw something he was very concerned about. He said the bones in and around my lungs were calcified (sp?) which he usually sees in women in their 80's. So now I have to go for a ton more tests. He also wants me to see a cardiologist to just make sure everything is ok since my dad's side has so much heart disease (his dad died in front of him at 33, and his cousin at 22 was found dead in her bed on her wedding day)

I thought I was freakin nervous before

omg.. Heather.. i hope you are ok.. im glad you decided to go to the doc.. just make sure you keep following up with him and go for the tests that you need to do.. im sure everything will be fine!

First off, I'm so happy you went to the dr.!!!!! The good news is that they know what's wrong so now you can be treated accordingly!

I was feeling sick, I've had chest pains. As for treating it, LOL, there isn't much they can do take it easy, and knowing. As for the bones, I have to have blood work done and a cat scan to start. I've been shaking ever since i got back to work.

I'm sure I will be fine but its so freakin scary!

Just take it easy & 1 day at a time... things will be OK, just trust in your docs... thank god they found it! My doc wouldve probably sent me home with tylenol

WOW heather, that sounds intense; i'm hoping EV pops on again from FLA with advice!!!! But the collapsed lung thing should definitely heal on its own; thank god you found out about that, that could be a real problem if you got on a plane and didn't know about it.
The bone thing sounds weirder, was there an actual diagnosis? or just 'calcification'? I think there are a couple of things that can cause that, either mineral imbalances or damage from a past lung infection; even things like a grain of sand in your lung can calcify. (Aaaand I'm not a doctor, just playing one on LIW!)
One step at a time Heather, REST and take a few days off if you need to, your crazy boss will have to let you get better!!!! Hope you feel ok and FM Ev if you're freaked out, she'll give you the inside scoop on your ailment!!!!
