We decided a few weeks ago that we couldn't afford to do anything for Christmas for each other this year....(I was alittle bummed being our first Christmas married and all) but, we had just put over close to $1000 is car repairs between both of our vehicles and said I guess that is what we are getting with year, we just can't wrap it!!!
Well today I said to him 'so we aren't getting eachother anything this year right'
He says 'oh- I did get you something already'
It's like two days before Christmas (I refuse to shop on Xmas Eve) and Now I have to think of a gift for him!!!! We weren't supposed to get each other anything!!!!!
Any ideas?? What did you get your DH's??? But I can't spent a fortune we just don't have it!!!!

Ooh don't kill him!!!!! That's a really SWEET thing he did!!!! There's ALWAYS a way to celebrate the holidays, EVEN if you spend $50, $20, $10, whatever!!!!! So.... If you have a $ budget, think of something he really NEEDS/WANTS, is there a book or movie he'd like? Maybe a basket of books/movies/CDs? Gift certificates to his favorite stores or iTunes or Amazon.com???? Something for the aforementioned car??? Like membership in Triple A (AAA) or something like that????

It's nice that your DH wants to do something that will make you feel special, such as get you a gift.
I always find it to be a problem to come up with presents for DH.I just got DH a computer for his birthday this year, which was a few weeks ago. He also wants a small wine cellar, but I really don't want one in our kitchen, so I'll try to hold off on getting that.

Oh- I am not really going to kill him.......I do think it is sweet but I guess I am not mad at myself for not thinking of something to get him sooner.........I should have known!!!!!!

Aww, he's sweet!!
I got DH a video game, two books, a movie, t-shirt, just a bunch of little stuff that I knew he would like. We tried not to go too crazy but I love having little things to open.

Some ideas off the top of my head:
- Wallet - Cufflinks with something on it he likes (sports logo, initials, sport pic, etc) - Watch - A nice scarf - A series DVD (ex: I got the Sopranos series for DH last year, but you could just get him one year or two of another series he likes) - Cashmere sweater (the 100% cashmere sweaters at Old Navy are on sale for $40 right now!!!) - A robe/slippers/pjs for home? - Nice headset for his ipod (if he has one)

LOL my DH did the same thing except we set a limit of $100 on our gifts well the other night he went to the mall to pick something up and he said he bought me a few more gifts! ugh I hear you!!
